I know people have been starting threads about this for a while now but dammit...WE NEED SOME NEW PHONES!!! Sure the zx-20 is here and the v3i is coming, but those are really just two upgrades from their predecessors. We need more BRAND NEW PHONES!!! I was excited about the 6126, but it appears that that device has been cancelled.

What's the story on 3G? I really doubt there'll be 3G in 100 markets at this pace. Can someone give me some info? I don't work for Cingular anymore and I want a 3G phone!!!

I've read quite a few reviews online, and am thinking about buying the 8125 - mainly because of the wifi, and video-playing (wmv) capabilities. I just wondered if there's a new phone on the horizon that I should hold out for? The 8125 is 200 bucks from cingular.com. Probably won't go down any less than that, right??? (If so, I can wait a few months and call it a X-mas gift to myself :-) How would I know when it's going to be taken off of the market? My current phone just isn't cutting it - it'll freeze while I'm trying to navigate through the menu/call list, and I found that I'm missing calls. I'd appreciate any advice. Thx.

I am planning on signing a new contract with Cingular - never had an account with Cingular before. My father will be cancelling his Cingular account, and I was wondering if I could somehow get a new account with a new number for myself, and then get rid of my new number and have cingular give me his old number. (taking over his plan is not an option).

🤨 I know LG, Samsung, Motorola, and Nokia are releasing 3g phones that should or will work on Cingy's network but what about Sony Ericsson. I havent heard anything about those guys doing 3g yet? Maybe i havent found nothing but has anyone else heard about SE doing Cingy's 3g?

I have the 8125 and all of the sudden, without any changes to anything, the alarm no longer goes off. All other sound effects of the device work and so does every other possible function of the phone.

Any suggestions?

Why??????? My son has t-mobile and get 1-0 bars in the house. I have had cingular wireless and they are using the 1900mhz band in my area. Part of the New Cingular Wireless PCS towers they are deploying. But anyways I had terrible service with cingular and when I had 1 bar on my sony ericsson z520a I could not even make a four minute phone call without it dropping. So I called cinglar the other day and I got my sony ericsson z520a unlocked. I pop in my son's tmobile sim card got 1 bar and made a call I was on the phone for fourty five minutes until I hung up the phone. Now tell me Why does they phone have crappy call quality using the 1900 band from cingular, but have great call quality when I use tmobile's service. And tmobile uses the 1900...

a customer called me today and she wants to know if theres some sort of way to set up an anntenna so she can get cingular..ive heard this is possible..i even found the 800 number for it once.. (unless that was a vivid dream) isnt it possible to have a tower to give you cingular in your area even if there are no towers in sight? (price is not a problem she said but she doesnt have the land for a real tower right now) thanks for posting in advance!

Im currently in the market for a new phone, price isnt really an issuse as long as it is reasonable. I just dont want a pda type phone. Any style is okay, clamshell, candybar, slider as long as not only has a very loud ring (ringer?) and the calls themselves can be turned up very loud. Basically, everything has to be loud, I currently have a razr and I'm pretty much fed up with it. I dont mind ordering my phone from myworldphone.com or other websites that sell unlocked phones currently not availabe in the US. Please, those that think they know the perfect phone for me let me know I am in dir need of something loud since I work in a construction zone almost everyday.

I"m getting ready to upgrade/switch phones from the V3 to the 8125. The problem is I have a lot of pictures on my old phone that I would like to keep and maybe move to the 8125. Are there any program I need/could use to save them on my computer before the move? I already have a mini-usb because for my MP3 player. Anything else needed?

After seeing all the push backs and delays releasing new phones I am left to ask. Has Cingular changed its phone testing regulations? Are the phones now more rigorously tested? I mean, come on! How long does it really take to test and fix whatever issues the 6126, v3i had...
I am not complaining about the delays, as long as the phone is released without any bugs or problems. Now, if the phone turns out to be a lemon after all this "testing" then I am going to be pissed. 😡
