3G in Tampa

Ok, I already know that here in Orlando FL Cingular is testing 3G... But my question is how long does this testing take before it's officially launched? Anyone?

Nokia 6131

I was wanting a phone that took awesome digital pics and beautiful screen. But the trick is in a candy bar style. These quad band phones are limited. How's the 6131?

Family Plan Question - adding additonal lines

At the moment I have a family plan with 2 lines under contract for another year. If I added a 3rd line to that, would that extend the contract for all three lines for two additonal years or just the 3rd line?

Is it possible to only get a contract for the 3rd line for one year? (phone is available).

What if one of the lines wanted to split off into it's own account some time down the road?

Nokia E70 model now in the US

Just so you know, the E70 model is now available in the 850mHZ band for the states. It's only sold through the Nokia store in Chicago and soon to be New York's 5th Avenue location.

I do have a question for current owners of this model: When the Qwerty keyboard is flipped open, can you surf the internet, or does the keyboard have to be closed for you to surf?

thanks,

Sony Ericsson z610i

Wanna get this phone for my fiance when it's available (probably in the next couple months or so).

I don't understand all of the frequency stuff. I know the phone is missing 850 (it has 900, 1800, 1900, and UMTS 2100(?)).

She never goes leaves North America, so is the absence of 850 going to be a big problem? Will there be dropped calls, or what?

Thanks in advance.

cu500???

I hear everyone raving about the cu500, but I have honestly had a lot of problems with these phones. About 80% of the customers I sell them to are complaining of dropped calls, and this is in metro atlanta!!! Anybody else have the same problems?

New phone shortage....

I wonder who's in charge of getting new (and exciting) models of phones approved and out to market..

I applaud the fact phones are not passing the testing phase if they don't truly deserve to pass, but they had to realize phones were going to fail and begin testing different models.

If the phone lineup doesn't improve drastically soon, it's gonna be a stumbling block for Cingular.

This doesn't make sense to me...

4 colors of Razrs and 2 for the L7...
Not to mention a white version of the d807 due out this month....

In the end, we're gonna have 5 phone models in all different colors. Someone needs to make some hard decissions in the product department.

Unlocked GSM vs CIngular phones

If I were to buy a unlocked phone off the net such as the 6131 that's not actually sold by CIngular can't I still use all the functions such as txt, pic, video messages to other people? I never heard of the phones being limited in function if it's not a Cingular branded phone.

Suggestions?

I'm looking to buy a smartphone/PDA/Blackberry in the next two-three weeks. Anyone have any suggestions? I mainly am trying to stay as small as possible with the phone, but must have Wi-Fi and bluetooth, with all internet and email capabilities. Trying to keep it under the $200 range with new contract. ANY help would be great...

Thanks

GSM 850 vs 1900

In getting a unlocked GSM phone off the web, can I get away with a triband (1900) phone for CIngular or is it a must to get a quad band (850) phone?

I've noticed not that many quad band phones.
