Is it possible for me to get a unlocked phone and bring it over to cingular for them to lock it and use it on there service? I mean if i get a phone that will work on its bandwith?

I just upgraded on the text messaging for 400 a month. They claim the text, picture, and video are all the same now. But when I got my first bill. They charged me for data costs. Have anybody else noticed this? Also why is it when I send a picture multimedia message my earth icon (which I call it) shows up until the message is sent? Thanks for any help... Never had this problem before till the upgrade...

did any1 see the sprint commerical where it rips cingulars internet service. it says that the sprint internet service is 5x faster than cingular's EDGE service! thats just stupid sprint didnt compare its internet to cingulars new 3g which isnt even on the same catagory as the sprint one.3g is way faster than edge... just some thoughts..

okay so i downloaded an emulator for my nokia n-gage. now i need serious help.

1. where do i get the games from and hows does all of this work so i can play my nintendo games?
2. where do i get the games from?
3. are the games installed to the emulator or do i put them on my memory card and the emulator processes it?

in the end all i want to do is play my oldie but goodie games.

I woke up this morning and went to make a phone call, and this thing would not let my H700 connect to it. No problems whatsoever connecting it to the SLVR. And when I try doing a search for bluetooth devices it finds none.

I tried power cycling a couple times to no avail. I think the bluetooth antenna is broken or something. Ugh.

Never thought this day would come...

One thing I have noticed (a lot) about our PTT phones is that customers are buying them because they 'like them'. They like their design, size, etc. But a lot of them are not activating the PTT service. I wonder what Cingular has planned to do about this...

I f@#$ing love customers that come in and insist that they know everything. The ones that tell you the motorola's are the best and the 6102i is pyle of crap. The ones that say they know someone who works for cingular accrossed the country and is going to give them a better deal on the phone without extending their contract. Man what a way to end the night.

😕 Anybody know whether the "painstakingly slow" auctions produced a winner yet on this frequency? Or if it is even on the auction block? Would like to get a new handset, but from what I've been reading, all the items I'm currently interested in only come in the 2100 flavor. Thanks.

I would like my next phone to be a smart phone because I can use the qwerty keyboard to surf the web and send text/mms much faster then a regular phone.also Instant messaging. The only smart phone I think would be suited for me would be one of the upcomming blackberry's(pearl). I say this because this phone doesnt have the complexity of treos or the 8125 or other high end smart phones. But it has a qwerty keyboard,HTML WEb browsing, Multimedia(camera,media player etc) So for a heavy texter,light emailer,real time web browsing, IM and a medium phones user would you suggest a blackberry to me or something else.

Opinions wanted

I am thinking of purchasing an unlocked Nokia phone and using it on Cingular's network. From what I was told, using the unlocked phone will not allow me to do certain things, i.e. send text messages, multi-media messages and take pictures with the camera phone.

Is that true? Can anyone confirm this for me?
If that is the case, what do I have to do to get it corrected?

I read a lot of "razr bashing" on these forums and I dont understand why. I have been using the razr for almost a year and a half and have had zero problems with it, same with my girlfriend (although she recently switched to the slvr).

I thin kthe reason we see so many problems with the razr is because we sell so many of them. So there are naturally going to be more issues. But I bet for every one person that has had a razr issue there are 10 that are perfectly happy with theirs.

😢 My v551 died this evening. Im going to put my SIM card in an old T-Mobile (unlocked) phone that my brother is sending me in the mail. My question is this, will I be able to text from this TMobile phone? will I have to set it up in order to do so? If so; how? I am planning on doing this until Cingular releases a phone that catches my eye w810, N70 or something like that.
I am holding a funeral service tomorrow morning in the parking lot of the nearest Cingular store 😢 Anyone is invited j/k ☹️
