UMTS Blackberry on Cingular?

I have heard a rumor that there will soon be a UMTS Blackberry on Cingular's line up. Anyone know any truth to this? If so what model and is it sure type or QWERTY? Please not sure type and something not as flashy as the 8100 even though that is what I fear.

No longer with Cingular

This has got to be the saddest day of my life. I had to leave Cingular today. I am leaving the country in order to take care of my mother who is sick. I don't know when I'll be back in the US yet. I enjoyed working for this wonderful company, and I hope that you (employees in the room) take it from here. Take pride in the product you sell, have patience with customers and help Cingular become "the most highly regarded wireless company in the world" by 2007...
I will be around in order to keep myself in the loop, so this is not a good bye 🙂

IBM/BellSouth SIMON PDA/cell phone

I am trying to find out if there is any service in the U.S. that would support an old SIMON. I am not cell phone savvy, but do know that because SIMON does not make use of a SIM card it will only run on non-GSM networks (I think)

Are there any such networks anywhere in the U.S.?

I have tried to get anyone at Cingular (used to be BellSouth) to find this out for me, but no one seems to know-- one person sent me to AT&T whom they have acquired-- AT&T told me they are not taking new accounts (????) presumably, their service could have supported a SIMON?

I further know that a 2001 document I found gives the network to be used for SIMON as, "CDMA Digital, AMPS, Analog"

You are my last hope.

I ordered a zx10 saying i forgo blue tooth and i forgo the faster 3g because i use the net on my phone only a little and no 3 g in NYC yet. i save $50 to my surprise the sent me the zx20. I called them and they told me they made a mistake on there web site and reps got email about it the zx10 should of not been on there site. they not selling it any more they gave anyone who was sold the phone by a rep or web the zx20 at the zx10 price withe the $50 repate. the zx20 is really $149.99 with $50 rebate and zx10 was $99.99 with rebate. so i was lucky. I ask them if they going to lower the price of zx20 to that of the zx10 they say we do not know till the day it happens. so i ask them about it they may have it at lower price with out the web ...

new phones (FINALLY)

it seems like cingular will finally start releasing some goodies 😁
That new Pantech phone looks good for the elderly or whoever wants to keep it simple. I think these pantech phones are going to be gaining market share very quickly cuz I've heard they are really good (quality-wise) I guess we'll see...

Virginia Beach Coverage

I live in the Philadelphia market and sell Cingular. Here I find myself in Virginia Beach on vacation with the family, most of which has Nextel. And Nextel seems to outperform Cingular when it comes to coverage down here.

Of course, we kill them in call quality. But reception is very sub-par down here. Then again, in the center of town it's good. But we're on the southern part of the Beach, about 10 miles north of the Carolinas, and it's very, very weak here.

☚ī¸ This is the first time I have been unsatisfied with their coverage.

Tethering RAZR to laptop

Getting ready to bail on Verizon, but love their BroadBandAccess Connect, handset as modem plan.

I typically get 350-700 kbps for $59.99 per month withno extra plan or hardware.

Can I get something like that with Cingy, and will it support BT DUN?

Thanks in advance.

zx20 is there troble with 1 gig mem cards samson say so

I asking any one use a 1 gig card in the zx20. what the resalts the rep said do not go bigger the 512 because if you start to max out the 1 gig it will give you phone lag times and other problem and that why we stop making card at 512. are they just saying it so you do not buy a 1 gig card because they do not make it or are they right and it will bog down the OS and phone if you know let me know so i can get the card soon. i really want the 1 gig but if it troble on the phone i get the 512 instead. i waiting to buy the card till i find out from someone other then the Samson's rep.

zx20

I soaslo fare love the phone zx20 fast and lots of stuff on it if you need windows or palm phone nthen this is not. If you need a phone first this is for you. I hear the lg-cu 500 is great because it sounds like a small boom box but if only a little use battery goes down then what the point. second the card is hard to use because it behind the battery and if you use a card reader then it tricky and more work. third if you need a loud ring to hear your phone has a call it ascending zx10 can ascending or go full volume somthing i need. If you need a phone first and making calls comes before all the fun stuff you get a loud phone. the only time it hard to hear is if you walking by a street with trucks, subways or construction going by. I ...

update for cu500

Got the phone, love it, but a few things I don't really like (cannot set downloaded ringtones as persolized ringtone for contact, the amount of annoying confirming tones) and I heard rumors of an update for the phone. Any ideas??
