Okay... will a "msn.com" email work with Cingular's Xpress mail?

I can't find anything on it in CSP or device tutorials. Not to mention we are networked in so we can't look at xpress.cingular.com

Any help is appreciated

I've been eligible for a 2yr upgrade since early july but I hate all of the phones available from cingular right now. How long do upgrades last? i might just settle for the 6102i.

palm 700 GSM

Does anyone know when the Treo 700 (or 750, whatever the number is) going to be released for Cingular? I think the codenames are Lennon and Nitro - one is Windows based and the other Palm OS.

Supposedly, this phone is the 3G version for Palm.

Thanks,

BellSouth shareholders OK AT&T Takeover

As reported by yahoo and by AP BellSouth shareholders, which I am one of them, approved the upcoming sale of their company to AT&T. obviously, the Federal and state regulators must also approve the deal. Once it is completed, according to sources and management, BellSouth and Cingular names will be phased out. In addition, both AT&T and BellSouth have mentioned in filings that it will help, when they merge, to better handle Cingular Wireless, which they will be owning 100% of if the merger is approved and closed and to eliminate any challenges that Cingular is currently facing problems especially that has to deal with the management decisions and execution.

It is expected that the merger will be closed in the fall.

W810 Update

Fresh off the visit of my SE rep here in Dallas.....the W810 has been pushed back until the end of September. 95% chance of a $249 PP on a 2 yr with a Cingular sponsored MIR.

Damn....I got to have one. Got to see the K790!! Very nice. Destined for Cingular summer of 2007. What a pisser. No plans from SE for a 3G data card.

Setup for a Sam D900

Hi guys. I used to have ATT, with the best plan in the world. (no one should have to pay for receiving text msgs) Haven't switched the plan yet, and had a Moto v600, now a v551. (I want to throw it against the wall). I just bought a Samsung SGH-D900, haven't received yet. Just wondering if I need to do anything when I get it, as far as MMS and crap goes. I will be using the v551 SIM (its blank, how do i tell if its a 3G 64?). Any help would be appreciated.

Cingy Reps:

Did they take this offer away for retention? Or are we still able to get this for a long time customer?

? FOR CINGY CS

Need some info dudes and/or dudettes. I was wondering if Cingular offered the same kind of discount on the unlimited PC cards like VZ and Sprint does. If they have a cell line then they get a $20 credit which lowers the price to 59.99. I am about to purchase a laptop and will need service soon and hope that I can stay with Cingy instead of switching to the dark side 🤣

My Cellphone Story! Cingular not to blame!

I guess everyone gets caught up in the hype!

Three or four years ago I bought a Nokia 6590i. It was a small phone, nothing special, but it worked well. Then after two years it got pretty worn down and a cracked screen. I purchased a SE T637, it was a great phone and sound quality was OK. I dropped the phone in water and got a replacement for $50.00. Then I broke the phone and Lock line could not replace the phone at all and they sent me a Moto V551. At first I wasn't used to the flip phone idea. The V551 just kept having problems with the speaker, I could rarely hear people, etc..

I was eligible for an upgrade and purchased the Razr V3 black and it sucked big time. So, I bought the RoKr E1. Although it was ugly, the phone ...

Also, how about the 6282?

I'm debating between the two....

Help with Cingular Seeing my phone as UMTS!!!!

Hi all,

I am new to cingular -- and just purchased a HTC Tytn - 3G PDA phone. This is being used by other Cingular users in my area (NYC) on the UMTS network without a probelm. My issue -- when I am home (non-UMTS) I ger GPRS connections without a problem. Once I get in the city -- the "U" pops up and I cannot connect for email, etc (only can use the phone).

When opened my account--I bought a free phone (Samsung PTT)....non UMTS and placed that SIM in the Tytn.

After speaking with various Cingular reps the issue is:
- Their System is not seeing the phone as a UTMS phone and will not allow it to access the 3G network.
- Other users who have the Tytn have "UMTS Compatible" noted as a feature on their account.
- The reps bas...
