I heard that Cingular has just announced some exciting changes. Could somebody please explain to me how this will work? I have a Treo 650 and use use a media plan to log into my e-mail account but it is a pain as I have to log in each time.
The existing Blackberry plan is $39.95 extra per month. Will I be able to get similar features to the Blackberry plan?

It seems like about every carrier has a nice selection of mid to high range flip phone available. I notice that we have the RAZR and maybe the MPX 220, and the Nokia 6102 or SE z500 to choose from when it comes to higher end features. Though none of those phone offer outside music keys, streaming mumtimedia, camera flash, good outside color display, or those type of things.

Hopefully we get something better is in the pipeline and is coming out for the holidays. Any one have more news on this?

Hi, I have a Family Plan 59.99 850min ect.. +3 lines= 4 lines. My question is, Could I have Cingular bill me 1 bill for my rate plan on all 4 lines, so it would be 89.99, and have them bill a seperate bill for features one 1 of my lines. Life for example, If they bill 9.99 for each line, plus the 59.99= 1 bill and the other has 1 line with just features as a seperate bill, so if I downloaded stuff had insurance, wireless interent, text messaging, and all that otehr good stuff.. Does that make sense? Thanks!

Does anyone know of reliable sources for unlocking phones? I know that its easy for nokias (unlock.nokiafree.org) but does anyone know of a reliable source for motorolas and samsungs. Any sites at all, free or charge.

Basically, I dont need this to make any money or anything. my girlfriend just got purse-napped on a trip to LA and she lost her phone. i have a few samsungs and motos that i want to get her service set up on, but they're for other providers. any help at all would be deeply appreciated. Quit acting like just because the Cingular network there sucks, it sucks everywhere in America. Guess what, it doesn't. A network that stretches from the Atlantic to the Pacific is a pretty big network. Problems happen. Deal with it by switching. You should just be happy you have choices. Now..... QUIET PLEASE

As a customer service rep for Cingular, I am certainly not asked my opinion about our business practices, but I do spend all day everyday with our customers (and most people don't call CS because they are happy) & here are my humble suggestions for bringing our quarter numbers up.

1) The automated phone system is just nasty. Hey guys, it isn't working for our customers. They are mad before they even get to us. Trying to navigate through our system is truly a trip through Dante's fiery inferno. And the nasty music has to go, it is giving me nightmares. Let's do something brave and daring and install a reception dept with real people to route the calls to the correct department.

Its about Verizon. Circuit City will take the crown. People want Verizon. It's not like they are saying "hey lets go to Radio Shack and buy what ever cell phone carrier they sell because Radio Shack so sooooo goood.

They want Verizon and will find a Verizon agent.

Just curious, does anyone have any information that shows a coverage map for the US as to which areas are the 850/900/1800/1900 bands are located? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Was just wondering how this country is split up or if its spotted areas of different bands.

Is there a way to request a tower placement. My one son goes to school in North Carolina, and cannot get any reception on campus (in the buildings). There are 4 Verizon towers on campus, however, I really don't want open a whole Verizon account for him. Is there a way to contact Cingular about this issue?

On October 19th , Cingular filed an 8K in which it discussed plans to de-commission 7,600 GSM sites.

Although Cingular disclosed its plans to decommission 7,600 GSM cell sites before YE 2006.

This number represents a portion of the prior 12,000 sites it said it had plans to decommission earlier this year (note: the balance of this amount represent

I was walking home from work when I passed by a Cingular store and there was this terrible odor coming from within. I later learned that their sewage pipes had ruptured. So what do you know? Cingular does stink...for now anyways until they get their sewage pipes fixed! 🤣

🤭 I signed up for AT&T cell service 2 years ago and got a great calling plan I love (1000 daytime & Unlimited N+W for $39.99) at Good Guys. I also have an awesome phone with the Panasonic GU87 that I paid a lot of money for before it was discontinued 6 months later 😢 . However, since the merger, more than a year ago, the service has sucked! My available calling area in Los Angeles has been basically cut in half with so many dead zones throughout the city it is ridiculous. We are talking like area like the heart of Hollywood and Wilshire Center, as well as many parts of Downtown - 3 of the most densely populated areas of a city of 12 million people. I'm an employee at a Cingular store, and I was wondering if anybody out there new of recording devices that you could plug into a normal house phone to record phone calls. I have a voicemail from my girlfriend who died this past sunday that I'd like to record and keep and give to her family, and I want to try and do it before Cingular decides that the new Lucent VM is terrible as well and switches everyone over to something else (I've already lost three or four of her voicemails this way).
