ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!

I just got back to PA from Phoenix, AZ and I can now start using my Cingular phone again. I had absolutely no coverage in the Phoenix area. I had to forward my Cingular phone to my VZW phone to have any type of cell phone usage. And VZW had full coverage.

Is Cingular planning on ever realizing that people do travel west??????

Especially after 11:00 ish or 12:00 ish.

So here we are just aday away from the big apple press release about the new phone. What does everyone know. I am sure tomorrow there will be a bunch of firm ware updates and that the phones that are already out and compatable with the firmware then will be able to use the service. I guess I am just impatient and can't wait to get more info...

I'm a longtime CDMA fan who just moved into a part of the world that is a fringe area for basically everyone but Cingular.

What I'd like is the best advice I can get on which of the current Cingular lineup have the best sensitivity. It's a pretty rural area, so selectivity is not as much of an issue (not that I'm likely to get anything but anecdotal evidence).

Was pondering the idea of purchasing a Treo 650 or other PDA phone 😕 . Have heard stories of people receiveing high bills because they didn't have a PDA Data package on their plan 😳 .

My question is, what exactly is included in the PDA Data Package (specifically the Data Unlimited Package, currently priced online as $44.99)?

My current internet plan is the old MEdia Works package I added to my plan back in Nov 04, which includes unlimited internet usage, 1500 text messages, and 200 MMS. Are any of these features included in the Data Unlimited Package, or are all these considered add-ons.

For the past day or so, I've had an issue where people are either calling me, or I'm calling them, and when it connects, there's nothing but dead air. Everyone that I've called or called me and experienced this problem is on the Cingular network. I live in Texas on the Gulf Coast, could this be a problem from the rise in cellular usage and possible damage to towers from the hurricane? I called Cingular and they said no problems in my area, and they sent out some updates to my phone. After 24 hours, if I'm still having a problem, they said it could be an equipment problem. What's y'all's take on this?

It's easy. Switch over to Cingular to get out of your at&t contract, you then have a 14 day trial period for Cingular, Return your phones new in box and you will be out of a cellular contract all together....

I live in San Luis Obispo, CA and I have an old Siemens A56 with cingular. A lot of times I don't get any reception indoors and I'm hoping getting a new phone with good reception can help. Any suggestions for phones with the best reception?

Okay Cingular is fast, but I need email on the road, not First-person shooter games. Why would a sane person choose VZ, or Cingy over Tmo?

This little tip got me out of my Cingular contract way back when I was a customer, and this tip has worked with everyone I've given it to, and I think it's time that I passed it along.

All you have to do is call up Cingular and tell them you are moving to Europe. Since Cingular doesn't offer service there, they can't charge you that nasty early termination fee. If you doubt this tip try it for yourself, if you get any crap just ask for a supervisor.

This tip also works for T-Mobile.

I live in Texas and have a nation plan. Can I call to Alaska or Hawaii also, for free, or is it just the lower 48 states?

I just had a customer in my store that asked if I coiuld charge his phone before he went to the airport. Of course I said yes, if he could give me twenty minutes to allow it to charge.

He's a legacy AT&T customer, with a Nokia TDMA phone. He asked if we had any of those phones in stock, I told him no, that Cingular hasn't carried or sold TDMA phones for around two years now. He claimed that on cingular's website they have his exact phone for $35. I told him he must have been wrong, that it was perhaps a newer model that ran off of GSM. He insisted that it was his same exact model, for $35 if he renewed his EXISTING AT&T contract. I tried explaining that he was horribly misinformed, that there was no way to renew his existing AT&T contract...

I have a job interview for a Cingular telesales position. Does anyone here work in that department or know anyone who does? Whats the pay like? Is it a good job? How is working for Cingular?

Consumer reports said Cingular had the most # of complaints.

I work in the Illinois market at a COR location, and we hve some merchandising thing happening on Thursday night of this upcoming week after we close.....they haven't said what it is, but my guess is that since we are supposed to be overhauling in some capacity that perhaps they are launching the I Tunes phone or starting PTT services early??? Anyone else have a clue??

And they love us, we even have to work when a cat 5 hurricane is approahing the call center!!!
