the ones now suck...any new ones in sight

Well, i'm on my 3rd t616 with Cingular, and the warranty period on mine is nice and expired, and this phone is starting to crap out on me. I don't really want to purchase a new phone straight out, so i was going to make in insurance claim on this one. My question is, which phone would be comparable to the one i have? The only phones that currently have BT in that price range are the 6230 and v551...I don't want another SE if i can help it. Anybody know if its possible to talk the rep into giving me either of these?

he is a former att wirelss customer and keeps getting letters from alltell saying that they will be taking over his acct within the next couple of months.

pulled his acct up and viewed poet- comes up as NON divested, and that he is able to migrate to cingular. But yet, when I use ESNET (equivalent to csp) it shows that at one time this market was divested.

there is no info on ALLTELL anywhere in our systems- we only have info on SUNCOM

the wierd thing is, some of his friends in the same market get these letters, but some of them have migrated to cingular. I am on line with rez and they haven't heard of this.

any input?

Trying to figure out how to connect to the cingular network using my bluetooth PDA and Motorola phone. The devices get paired fine, unfortunately for the DUN it asks for a number.

Does anyone know what the Cingular Internet access numbers are? I found something from an AT&T support site that said *99# would work but didn't.

The tech support say I have to upgrade from the unlimited MediaNet or Works plan to their expensive data plan...please say this is not so--otherwise I am giving up and going back to VZW 👿

i just got a new cingular plan and left US cellular. i got a Audiovox 5600, i love the phone but i dont get the greatest service, i drop a lot of calls. on the map it shows that i should get service here, and i do but not all that great, well this is IOWA!!! what should i expect, oh well i love my phone who cares if i cant talk on it, haha.

Anyone know how many times you have to return a phone XBM before they offer you a different model? This e317 wont hold a signal and its choppy with sound? I want the 6102 but its not out yet, any idea how long I have to wait for that?

I have Cingular & phone is Nokia 6340I. When another Cingular customer calls & blocks their number, they hear 4 rings & instead of going to voicemail, their call ends. On my end, the phone does not ring, my phone shuts off on their first ring, when their call ends, my phone powers back on. My phone does not show missed call. When a landline or Alltel phone blocks their number, my phone will ring & go to voicemail. Can anyone explain?

Hello all...I want to get a new PDA phone (windows not palm). I like the sx66, but would prefer a camera and 802.11g, or something like the HP 6315. I saw an article on phonescoop saying that Cingular will be releasing something similar. Basically I am asking if anybody has any info about any new PDA's coming out soon so I know whether to buy the sx66 or wait. Thanks in advance!

When you call your customer care and you ask them if there are any issues, if they look and say no, that doesnt mean that there isnt some kind of issue necassarily. It could mean that the tech side just hasnt issued a ticket for the issue yet. Happens all the time. Dont just assume CC isnt doing there job or doesnt know what they talking about. If you call CC for troubleshooting dont tell them how to do their job--remember you are calling CC for help. Oh yeah stop calling from the phone your having issue with! How can we help you if your on it???

y'know I'm a former blue rep and I admit that a lot of the time we get really grouchy customers. I will also admit that sometimes we may get a little carried away while talking about them, but I've worked here for two years and I've only had one customer that comes to mind when someone asks "well, surely you get some nice customers?!"

Out of 40-80 calls per day, 5 days a week over a two full years, I can only think of one.
