I currently reside in CA and was wondering what would happen if I sign on with Cingular (2 year contract) and then cancel my plan withinn 5 months??

Does that mean I incur just the $150 cancellation fee OR $150 + full retail value of the phone??

ATTWS charged for transferring stuff via Bluetooth and Infrared?? 😳 Someone posted on a different board claiming that their website states it, but I have yet to find where!

I Like Nextel! He's one of a kind! He's allowed to voice his opinion, and no one should take it to heart ( Don't be ridiculous!) This is a public forum, and people can say whatever they like. Has Cingular really just changed their pic messaging? The bluetooth on my p.o.s. v600 stopped working, so to get my pics off the phone I've been sending them to my email address. I would put like 8 or so in one message so I wouldn't have to send multiple pic messages. Well now instead of delivering all the pics, only one is sent out and they change the original size of the picture to half of what is was. What the f**k?! Can they really do this? Is it really legal for them to alter the pictures we take and that belong to us, the customers? This is too far and action on the part of the customers should be taken if this is the case. 👿

Does anyone know the monthly charge for the Cingular text messaging packages?

I've noticed many upon many people bashing Cingular. I haven't been all that interested in the wireless workd until recently so I wouldn't know.

But, did people bash Cingular like they do now before the Cingular ATT merger? Cause to me, it comes off as people simply being spiteful against them for being in the #1 spot.

Everyone points out, "Bad customer service". When?? where?? I've never gotten it. I know that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist, but who are the people making these compliants? The people who can't read their bill correctly? The people who go over their minutes and somehow think they shouldnt have to pay? People who lose/break their free phone and feel they should get another one for free.

So I just migrated from TDMA to GSM and I'm now Cingular Blue / Business Acct. I really wanted the Nokia 6230 but was told not available, so I opted for the V551.
Can I just buy another phone from wherever and plug my SIM inot it? I know it has to be an unlocked phone, but will a locked Cingular Orange phone work? How can I tell if it's an Orange or Blue phone?

so what if someone doesn't like cingular, or have a metric ton of "facts" to back up their position..facts (when dealing with the telecomunications market) are all relative, like it or not...just because some douchebag at consumer reports says cingular is worse that VZW doesn't make it so...it all boils down to the individual experience the customer has...

so what if CSR's and sales reps come on the forum to b1tch about customers and whatnot...such is life, and last time I checked, theres no laws prohibiting freedom of speech on the internet...
