HELP please! (international calling question)

I have gotten two different answers to this question from CC. Heres the question: I have a customer that is/will be going to Ukraine. She is wondering what the cost per minute will be if she is calling from Ukraine to U.S., then from Ukraine to Ukraine, Then from U.S. to Ukraine. I know she will need the $3.99 package to reduce the costs of the roaming for international calls. Thanks so much for any replies. The customer will come in and Upgrade to the v551 if she has good news on the roaming charges.

Is this true or not?

Out of curiosity is it not true that wherever in th U.S. you can get tmobile service you can also get cingular service? I ask this because these two companies have basically the same band withs except cing has 850 mhz and tmobile does not. i know there are some places where this philosophy wont work but in most cases is this true?

Help... someone... anyone...!

I had to do a Master Reset on my phone, but sometime prior to that I had purchased a game through Cingular on my phone. Since the Master Reset, the game is gone.

I called Customer Care and the woman told me that I'd have to buy the game all over again. Is this true or is there anything else I can do to get it back again? Thanksin advance!

Whats the deal with Cingular

i had my phone with them for over a year and I did not have to pay a deposit to get it, one day i let my boy friend talk me in to going on his family share so we called cingula and i let them switch me phone over to him. well one month later we broke up and we called to have my phone put back on my account and they told me i would have to pay a $300.00 deposit. why in the hell would i do that? i was never late when it was in my name anyway and it was only out of my name for one freaking month, Cingula SUCKS 👿

Let me make myself clear

The Cingular rep in customer service did NOT check his credit to see if he cold have another line they just switched it over i did not have to sign any papers and neither did he and the rep said it could be switched back at any time and NEVER said anything about having to recheck my credit and yes i had lost my job and that did make my late with a few bills but not my Cingular bill that should count for something.To all of you on her that have something to say about me and my credit you can all go to HELL, i hope you never loose your job to overseas and with more and more company's out sourcing to India you just might 😈 😈

does anybody else find it hard to get the right dep't at cingular

as a " blue" cust care rep , i find it very difficult to get a rep at cingular to help. i either get the wrong market or something with the IVR..... and distinguishing the difference between telegence and care can be hard as well, and if you get the wrong dep't, cingular will offer the number but won't transfer you through, is this policy for cingular? some of our customers on the blue side don't even want to migrate because of the customer service....i know all wireless carriers have some problem with customer care but Cingular just seems to be difficult regardless and not wanting to help. hopefully our customers won't get treated the same way 😳

I need a motorola phone with independent voice recognition that will work with cingular. The motorola v710 has it but it only works with verizon. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Company vs Company blah blah

I guess it goes without showing that anyone here can boast and brag about the carrier of their choice. Verizon trumps Cingular in some things, Cingular trumps Verizon on others, T- Mobile has advantages over Sprint, Nextel can claim a bigger customer base than AllTel, Metro PCS can say they offer better yada yada than Sun Com, but what it all boils down to is once you start arguing over who’s who in the wireless business there are so many factors to take into consideration that after so many flame wars and personal attacks each other, it tends to make for very unpleasant experience for users of Phonescoop. The next phone to be released?

After reviewing the Phone Finder section here at phonescoop, there really aren't many good phones coming in the near future to Cingular.

The main models expected seem to be the Motorola v635 and Samsung p207, both of which seem to be most anticipated. Rumor has it that the Motorola v635 is coming sometime around the first week of May.

Technologically speaking, the Samsung p207 looks like a very interesting phone, pioneering in a ground-breaking phone feature, which is speech-to-text technology. Anyone know when this Samsung might be coming, or what phone might be released to Cingular next?

Disgruntled about discount

ok not that i'm un-grateful for my 30% discount but I just helped a cust with his discount of 50% equip disc for just being a HP employee. also I found out UP postal service gets like a 75% disc on equip. Thats a little unfair I feel. anybody know about this? maybe i'll desguise myself as a post man when I get my next phone lol 🤣

how do I...

I'm fairly new with orange systems, and in fact don't even have access to most of them. I can't read any account notes, I can't see the passwords anywhere, etc. I have only verrrrry basic systems.
that said, how do I tell if a customer's market is a CARE or telegence market? I'd really like to know so I can get them to the right customer care when necessary. even the few orange systems I do have, I barely got any training on.
Thankfully, I don't need much, as I just do XbM (although it is a pain that customers ask about things that are supposedly noted on their accounts, but I can't see those notes).

How much should I pay

I want to migrate my current service over to Cingular GSM and was wondering how much I should pay for a Motorola V551.

Every single Cingular store has it for 99 with a 2 year contract but then I occassionally see it on the cingular website for 74.99. I asked the reps at the store if they could match the web price but they said they can't. Yet, I've spoken to a few people who have told me that the reps actually have some leeway with discounts.

Is this true? and what would seem to be a good price to pay for this phone and is it even negotiable

Just found on Howardforums Cingular price list for North Florida for the period 4/5/05-4/23/05:
Moto v635 - $269($249 with featured package)with 2 year contract. Can anybody conform this?
Any ideas when it will be in stock?

bad customer care

bad customer service? i never complain about anything to cingular, never call about my bill, never want free phones blah blah blah.. only time i call is when i have a question on how something works.

example one
i called up to ask about the *646#
i have 3 lines of service on a shared plan and wanted to know if it shows the combo of mins used or if it shows how many that individual line used.

rep 1 says it shows how many THAT particular line used. of course i call back to ask the same thing because i always get different info...

REP 2 says the exact opposite, says it a combo of all lines used.
i call again

REP 3 says the same thing, its a combo of mins and i can check online. so i check online with him on the phone and the onl...

Ringtones??

I have a customer that needs to stop ringtones being sent to the phone weekly. They cannot reply to the text because text and internet have been removed from the phone. The company is m-Qube and the name is katazo ringtones...any ideas?
