No Sidekick for Smart Access

Does anyone know if the sidekick plan will return for smart access customers? I find ironic that the very target market for this product (teens and young adults) are the ones usually more credit challenged. So now they can't have a sidekick plan. Any info would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

T-Mobile unveils new program for April..."Old Access!"

I would like to propose a new program to assist our elderly customers when activating new lines of service. This hypothesis stems from the already existing credit based "Smart Access." (T-mobile) The stipulations would require, not a credit check, but technology competence criteria. The results of failing these tech focused motor skill manuevers would end in qualifying what I propose calling "Old Access." Questions would range from what is this device I'm holding, to entering names into contacts. Upon failing assesment, we would charge a one time $200 "Old Aceess" Fee which includes activation, my 400 hours of future instruction on how to power phone on/off and how to turn up ear piece/ring volume...including paying any hospital bills for th...

T-mo VOIP in Germany

I know they were running this on the front page the other day, but wanted to see what you guys thought about this.

According to the story
http://www.infoworld.com/article/06/03/13/76353_HNtm ... »
the wifi voip service will only work with the T-Mo hotspots, and not with home networks. I really have to ask what is the point then? I get almost no service at home, to the point where my phone will not reliably ring if someone calls, my wife's phone gets no service at all. At home is where this would bridge the service gap for many ppl. Most of the t-mo hotspots that I know of are in places that get great coverage, and there is no reason to double up by using the internet.

Questions, comments, verbal abuse?

T-Mobile has expanded its coverage with lots of new roaming agreements

Ok, so I went home over the weekend to my parents place. I used to hardly ever get any signal there and always had to rely on the landline, well now that T-Mobile has a roaming agreement with Cingular, I have coverage!!!!!

In Indiana T-Mobile has quadrupled thier coverage by adding new roaming areas. I love it!!! I just hope they can afford all of those roaming agreements...!!!

Instant messenger on phones

Hey all, I was trying to use AIM on my Nokia 3220 and although I'm a very big Nokia fan, I have to say that the AIM is pretty wack on it. Every time someone messages me or I want to message someone else I have to keep opening and closing the program, which gets to be a pain in the @$$. I busted out my old Samsung C225, and the AIM was much better. It was more like text messaging, since AIM stays open in the background. When someone messages me, the screen name is displayed, I hit "view" and it jumps straight to the conversation.

I noticed that the Samsung e635 and Samsung x495 also have the same crappy AIM as the 3220, but I tried the Samsung t309 and it was way more like the C225.

Does anyone know why the AIM software changes so...

T-Zones and Video Downloads???

So I was playing with my Moto v330 and looking through my videos, when I noticed a T-Zones "New Videos" link. Apparently, people with V360s, V3 RAZRs and PEBLs may also have this link too.
Every time I navigate to this link, it takes me to a T-Zones link that states coming through. I have sent this off to T-Mobile proper as a question and recvd no response. I have also looked everywhere in our internal systems with no success.

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY CLUE ABOUT WHAT NEW VIDEOS MAY BECOME AVAILABLE?

Is it a pre-cursor to 3G/Edge technological improvements?

T-Mobile Internet

I don't know if everyone knows this but if you buy the MDA or SDA and add the 29.99 internet plan it DOES NOT have text messaging included! You will have to add a bundle to it. And e-mails count as an sms so your best bet is to add the unlimited messaging for 14.99. I think alot of reps have misunderstood the plan because the employee plan includes unlimited messaging
