PROBLEM No Incoming calls---excpet from T-Mobile Customers
I am a Tmobile customer that for the past week I have not been able to receive incoming calls EXCEPT from Tmobile users. (which is KILLING ME).
T Mobile techs say it is a network issue and have referred it to engineering.....and gave me 50 bonus minutes...which I think i should get more.since I cant get calls for a week.
Has anyone had this issue? If so -- PLEASE Help. Here is some background info:
Location - NYC
Phone - Nokia 7610 (was not dropped and was working great)
CAN RECIEVE and send text messages
CAN CALL OUT to any number.
E-Mail Client Help!!!!
Then it says "server error" and I get disconnected. I called T-Mobile she seemed like she didn't know what I was talking about b/c she thought I was refering to the T-zones "My E-Mail" section. Then I explained again and then she said "Oh that, ummm we don't support that feature" Then I was like ok and hung up. But then I thought how could they not support it but it still sends E-Mails and the E-Mails get recieved. I have AOL. Does anyone get this??? Plea...

Treo 600 and Wap settings?
With my nokia 6820, which TMO does not support (but through the help of many of you at howard forums), figured out with the wap access under my $39.99 calling plan, can in fact access at least one pop3 account (still trying to figure out how to access multiple accounts - if any has suggestion, let me know).
Back to main question -- do I in fact have to pay extra to get emails on the Treo 600? I can't see to find treo 600 supported by the TMO configurator site or on the palmone.com sites. Nokia was able to provide GP

GSM 800/850 freq
Does anyone know, if I buy a T-Mobile phone such as the V600, if T-Mobile will let it roam onto the GSM 800/850 frequency?
I ask because I don't want to give up my T-Mobile plan ($39.95, 1000 whenever and unlimited weekends and nites), but I am disatisfied with 1900 MHz penetration into buildings such as malls, wherehouses and supermarkets.
I have been told that the 800/850 band is much better at this.

Stupid Customers
To my beloved little customers...
If you think that you should have perfect service everywhere you go I got some news for you...unless you carry a really long frickin cord attached to your phone everywhere you go...you will encounter service problems.
Quick complainin and use the service in the first 14 days.
If you don't like it after 2 WHOLE WKS (which is our buyers remorse)...Cancel then!
I understand our service isn't perfect (NEWS FLASH NO ONE'S IS) but even Verizon has areas where their service sucks.
Is T-Mobile the underdog?
I've been reading about the major wireless carriers for years now.
T-mo is slowly making its move. I can foree T-mo doing a business model and a rapid expansion that could possibly overtake VZW and Cingular.
VZW's big concern is to keep #1 spot away from Cingular.
Cingulars big concern is to take #1 spot away from VZW.
I don't think that anyone has watched T-mobile enough. Their rate plans are incredible. Their coverage, while small, is pretty solid.
Granted after a few shaky starts as Omnipoint and Voicestream.. I do believe T-mobile will become a major MAJOR competetor to VZW and cingular. Not only just for subscribers but for coverage map.
Of course this is just future speculation from a dude that ha...

Coverage in DC, MD, and NoVA
I am looking to switch from Sprint to T-Mobile. I live in Rockville, MD and commute to DC, Rockville, Gaitherburg, Bethesda, Tysons, Dulles, Falls Church, Arlington, etc. on a regular basis. I am switching so I can have a phone I can use overseas.
Just wanted you opinions on T-Mobile coverage in the general area that I have described above. Basically what are your experiences here? I have had Sprint for 5 years and their coverage is getting worse. I have lots of dropped call on the Toll road, beltway, and in Rockville.
Please provide you input and any comparison between the carriers.
Thanks
Real World GPRS speeds, is this the usual?
So today my broadband went out (Thanks Adelphia!) So I thought it would be a good time to finally hook my Nokia 3650 up to my PC thru bluetooth and use it as a modem. I've done it before, but never for more than kicks. Today I wanted to see how hard I could push it. So I started an FTP download and a bittorrent download, and watched the graph that sygate personal firewall gives you. I watched it for about a half hour, and I'd say I was averaging about 4.2KBps and getting the occasional spike to 5KBps. doing the conversions, that puts me at an average of 33.6Kbps and bursts of 40Kbps.
Now from what I understand, GPRS's theoretical max is 40.2Kbps, so from what data I gathered, I was doing pretty good for the real world. It's sti...

International Text Messaging? Secret Practices?
I know it did change after I called them. They told me 2 things: 1) one rep said that since very few people used this, they did not care about notifying customers, 2) 2nd one said that they sent an insert to customers.
I checked my last 2 bills--no insert, no info, nothing! It is not posted when you login into your account--you need to search for that change on T-Mobile site! One rep told me that it was my responsibiliity to figure that out.
Secret practices?
