Overall Coverage

There are a lot of questions about coverage from a lot of people and customers.
1. The largest coverage in the US is Verizon (but even they have their downsides-most of it is analog backup)
2. The best sound quality is GSM which is TMobile/Cingular/ATTWS
3. GSM is the worldwide technology.
4. CDMA gets better coverage in buildings.
Does this clear a few things up?

Can a T-Mo employee answer an easy question?

I just got my bill for this month, and I went over my minutes for the first time by something like 100, which ended up doubling my bill (I have Smart Access w/Nights).

My question is this (and I hope it really is easy. sorry if it's not): How much extra would I have to pay to get Unlimited Nights & Weekends if I switched over to the Smart Access 1000 plan? In a situation like this, would it have cost me more or less than my overage charges?

I've never gone over my minutes before, so I was surprised how much it added up to be. However, I pay $0.40 per minute for overages, so it's pretty rough. Is it the same rate for Smart Access 1000, or does it vary based on the individual customer?

OK, I guess that was 3 questions 🤭

Tha...

Using own pictures as Wallpaper???

I'm a brand new T-MOBILE customer and i'm wondering if it's possible to send a picture to my phone (Samsung SGH C225) and be able to use it as a wallpaper or even send it somewhere else? Is there a size requirement (pixel size, file size) in order to be able to send?

I know to send an email is ([email protected]) so I assume that's how you would send it?

Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance!!!

It's been over two years since VoiceStream became T-Mobile and ...

Do you think it was a positive move to change from the US brand VoiceStream Wireless to T-Mobile? It's certainly an international brand name. Was this a positive to change the name?

C'mon

C'mon guys, in the AT&T, Verizon, and Cingular forums where I come from there is lots of sh!t talking, backstabbing, misinformation, and scandals. It seems to courteous and honest in here. I am dissappointed in you guys. *Shaking head and slowly walking away.*

Family Time Basic Plan...change?

OK, so I see the new $69.99 850 Shared Whenever minutes plan with free M2M calling and free unlimited n&w as well as the newly introduced $129.99 2500 Shared Whenever minutes plan with free M2M calling and free unlimited n&w.

What about changes to up the minutes on the $49.99/month 400 Shared Whenever Minutes plan with free M2M calling and free unlimited n&w? It would be real nice to see that too for the customers on the basic family time plan. Would make things a heck of a lot more competitive. Just a thought.

Why Buy a Phone Directly from T-MO?

I'm about to switch from Verizon to T-Mobile. I'm looking at getting the Motorola V600. The V600 is $199 from T-Mobile online, I can get a V600 from the "mom-n-pop" wireless store near my home for $50 or I can order it from Amazon for FREE! What advantage are there to buying through T-MO versus Amazon?

Should I stay with T-Mobile, or give them the "boot"!

Well, I just signed-up with T-Mobile today. Was so looking forward to what I thought was going to be good service. I got a Motorola V-180, due to I wanted a tri-mode with both European bands and no camera phone. I'm also a Verizon customer as well...which has worked very well for me, but wanted a more "global" phone, since I'm planning a few trips to Europe next year.
Got the phone home, and little or no signal in my apt. Barely 1 bar or none at all. That will not do...for I have no landline. Can't imagine going outside to the street on a rainy day to make a phone call! Signal is an issue in my apt, for sometimes I have issues with my Verizon phone, but most of the time (95%) calls go through. Was planning on using the 2-phones sid...

signal strength question, considering t-mobile

I borrowed my friends nok 3390 to test out the signal in the area I live in, its way out in the boonies at the moment. anywhere about 30 feet from the house gets a 1 bar signal or so, get any closer or go inside and it loses service. about 300 feet away its 2 bars and 6 miles away its 3-4 bars and this is all out in the country. alot of people including us have satellite, would that make a diff? and how does the 3390 rate in terms of signal strength? if I signed up with tmobile are there newer phones that could pull in a signal better? thanks in advance for any responses

Some examples of Sprint's lack of reality sense on their forum board....very much a sense of denial

Read this stuff. This is an exmaple of what Sprint folks are saying about T-Mopunk's T-Mobile Bling posting. And ofcourse I have responded to them and you can tell with the ascii sware language used.

neorask said:
T-Mobile is T-errible. I'm guessing your bling bling is a Ford pinto, with some Levi's, a goodwill shirt, flip-flops, and some polished turd nuggets for jewelery.

Or maybe the bling was referring to all the bling that cell phone customers give up to pay for their service. In that case, every phone company should have the word "greedy" included in their slogan.

My reply:

So what does that make your Sprint bling? A Yugo GV? T-Mobile actually does stuff to please their customers. Not to forget additionally that they h...

Provider services?

I am a VZW subscriber (just renewed for two more years until the GSM world smooths out).
VZW has a service called Get It Now where subscribers can download apps (traffic reports, weather radar, graphical driving directions, etc) using voice minutes.

Does TMobile offer anything similar? Will they?
I can see radar and traffic reports obtainable via the web, but not driving directions based on your current location and providing on-the-spot directions and re-routing.

Thanks.

Family plan changes!

Effective 11/19 the 69.99 Family plan goes to 850 minutes for the same price--existing customers will need to extend contract to migrate to the new plan.

Also, a whole new 129.99 2500 Whenever minute family plan is set to launch 11/22, unlimited nights and weekends and mobile-2-mobile.

Sweet... 😎

Does anyone know when this phone is coming out for T-Mobile. I was told from a T-Mobile representative that it would be out by the end of the month or early december. Does anyone know?

Questions for a T-Mobile Rep.

😁 Hello: I would like to know what happened to the Samsung P705 TV phone that was suppose to come out for T-Mobile since last year? It is a cell phone that was suppose to be carried by T-Mobile. That phone has a built-in TV-Tuner built in. Here is the link on phonescoop to give you an idea of what I am talking about: https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p =438&gi=1

Thanks! Please reply A.S.A.P. 😁

Samsung E715 vs. E315

I currently own an E715, but it's pretty banged up. Been dropped on numerous occasions. The screen is showing very visible lines in the display. The phone even "restarts" itself when I'm trying to access T-zones and IM, for what reason, I do not know. I've seen and tested the E315, but I want to know if it is really worth the $200 or should I just buy a new E715 and call it a day?

Another gripe I have about the E715 is that the volume seems to be really low in public areas, i.e. in a crowd, driving with or without the window down, etc. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

Also, side note. I used to own the Samung A310 (http://www.samsungusa.com/cgi-bin/nabc/produ ct/b2c_product_detail.jsp?eUser=&prod_id=SCH- A310) for Verizon. ...
