replacement for the 6600?

Hi ya, I'm a newbie here! I'm gonna get my sister a new fone for xmas or soon thereafter, but was wondering, she's rather smitten with the 6600 from Nokia, but is there going to be a replacement soon for it in the States? Thanks very much!

Unlocking phones

OK guys, don't get the wrong idea. I'm not hopping over to another carrier here i nthe USA when I ask about how to unlock GSM phones. I may travel on occasion internally and thus, I have the Samsung X-105 (dual-band)as well as Siemens CF62T (Tri-band). I upgraded to the Siemens CF62T at the end of last week and like it so far but would consider using either of the phones for the purpose. Therefore the need to ask.

Is it different from one phone model to the other or is it the same procedure carried out irrespective totally of the phone used?

Applies appreciated from one and all (except BluetoOrange22 - I'll ignore his pathetic discolored @$$.) 😈

new experience

Well, today's pretty dead in here so I figure I'd put up a post about something that happened to me last night, and it was quite bothersome.

I had a call around 10:30pm that I did not get off until well after midnight. At first when the call came in, the girl was huffing and puffing and she went off about how sick she was for about ten minutes giving me specific and detailed descriptions of cramps, vomit, mucas, and other things that made me glad I skipped dinner earlier. That is not necessarily very common, but as with the job people call sometimes with no other purpose than to vent.

Well, things took a turn for the worse on this one. The young woman had told me she was blind, and had switched to T-Mobile almost 2 years ago because...

Ok ya'll- need some help here!!

Ok, the day has come and I have to make a decision. I don't want this to sound superficial or anything, but hey I'm paying for something I can't return so I DA*M well better like it and it better work for what I want it to lol.

Talking about upgrade! Today is my anniversary with the company, and I get to upgrade. I've got it narrowed down to 2. The Mot A630, or SidekickII. I've played with both of them quite a bit, but only in a retail or similar environment, and don't have any real world trials with them.I've asked on mot forums, and danger forums, and no responses. ☚ī¸

So, heres my short take on the two, and really my biggest concern: I like them both lol. I don't want a full PDA. I would never use them for their full capabilities, a...

Nokia 6600 or Moto V600?

I am using Nokia 3650 right now. Thinking about getting either V600 or the 6600. There seems to be a lot of concerns about the V600, mainly related to the build quality of it. Can any of the users voice your opinions? Thanks!

CDMA in the int'l game?

I just stumbled upon this, and seems to have been out already for a short while. VZW is wanting a piece of the interntaional pie, and GSM. Through Motorola (tentitively) and samsung (currently sch-a790) has a hybrid phone and an official "take your phone anywhere in the world" program. It is CDMA 800 / CDMA 1900 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800, and doesnt have the capability to roam such as tri-mode (with amps) verizon phones can, so *Requires network connection in Verizon Wireless digital service area. Airtime and other service fees apply.*
GSM 1900 is not available, or even 850 for that matter, so not only can the phone not be used in north america the phone is programed to only search actively for cdma, and then when set in int'l mode for gsm 900/...

interesting observation....

Well, today I was doing some overtime, and within a 4 hour time frame, I upgraded 6 phones, and had requests for 5 new activations (mostly add-ons). Not that this has never happened before, but 2 of the add-ons were customers of which one was currently employed by verizon wireless and the other with nextel (and they made a point of telling me that). I think all but one person I spoke with said something to the effect of being surprised by T-Mobile; that they were expecting less when they signed up, but are now telling everyone about us etc...not just today have I heard that, it's becoming increasingly more common of a statement, even when I get calls from non T-Mobile customers just asking general questions....Especially now, I speculate eve...
