EDGEy in NY

Anyone have an Idea when EDGE will be available in NY? I just got the internet package with my JAM, but the speeds are only 56k. Trying to find ways to speed it up!

Thanks in advance!

For those of you in the New York City Area:

Did you hear the about the three teens that went to take a picture of the Verrazono Bridge, and got stuck on a raft that started drifting into the ocean at night. They tried to call the Police using their Nextel phone but it said "no service". I am surprised that Nestel didn't have service in Brooklyn where they were located. They should have had T-Mobile.

Unlocking Tmobile phone from eBay

I got tired of the original t68i that I got with my Tmobile service (piece of crap) and sold it on ebay... I then bought a Samsung R225 (awesome phone) through eBay.

This phone is currently locked into Tmobile and I would like to unlock it. I heard Tmobile will let you unlock your original phone, but since I never unlocked my original phone, would they allow me to unlock this one?

I've had my service for 8 months.

moto V535, V635, V186

V535 is V300+bt
V635 is V620+EDGE
V186 is V180+EDGE

by my anticipation, V535 will come first (perhaps March); V186 and V635 will come this early summer

Are there any other commands like #646# and #225# that will give you info, such as your data usage?

the most interesting is E865, it should be US version of D500 (but the cam is swivel, not fixed like D500) 😉

Finally . . .

I changed my plan from "NW/$59.99/1000min,ulmtd weekends/plus $2.99 for ulmtd nights. To the NW/$45.99/1000min,ulmtd night & weekends!! My bill will be way less next month than this one! Another way of T-Mobile showing that they're "saying"
"Get More" really means "Get More!". I doubt highly that another wireless phone company could say/show that! 😁

Treo 650?

I am thinking about switching to T-Mobile, but only if and when they offer the PalmOne Treo 650. Does anyone know if they plan to offer this phone? I called today and customer service said they aren't going to guarantee they will get this phone, but they have a date of late 2004/early 2005. The rep told me I can buy it from someone and unlock it, but I would rather wait and get it with some sort of rebate from T-Mobile.

Push-To -Talk

😁 Hello: Does anyone know if T-Mobile will be offering Push To Talk when the officially launch EDGE? I was asking cause I see that the Nokia 3230 is a Tri-Band phone with all the necessary requirements for T-Mobile to carry it. It has 900/1800/1900 frequencies built in. Does T-Mobile actually have to have a high speed network to offer Push-To-Talk?

browser and MMS settings

Hey everybody... I just put my T-Mobile SIM card in one of our Motorola V551's for Cingular, and surprisingly it was already unlocked. If I wanted to use this phone, do you know where I could download the browser and MMS settings for my phone from? I know that when I've been setting up unlocked Nokias I could download the carrier specific settings directly from Nokia's website, but I can't figure out how to do this for Motorola. I suppose if all else fails I can just get a V300 or V600 out and copy the settings, but I was hoping to get this done the easy way. Thanks.
