Roaming agreements

I heard T-Mobile was going to renegotiate roaming agreements sometime this year with Cingular. Will this mean expanded coverage and does anyone know when this is expected to happen?

What should I expect?

Coming back to the U.S. on January 17th and I'll renew (extend) my T-mobile contract. I joined the T-Mobile Customer Family on September 2003 and haven't renewed my contract this September. I just kept using the month-by-month service as I thought T-Mobile would come up with some better phones by Christmas time. Well they didn't, and I'm kinda getting tired of it. I got my cousin's word that he'll bring whatever phone I want from Europe to U.S. in Spring (he'll be visiting me and we'll be taking a trip to the Sin City ๐Ÿ˜ ) so I just want the best phone I can get till then. We can say I've been a customer for 16 months and never had any late payments, etc. Which phone should I expect to get a good deal on if I extend my contract? Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

Nokia 6600 VS. Nokia 6620

๐Ÿ™‚ Hi, I have a question. If the Nokia 6600 has Streaming Multimedia on it, how come it can't pick the same streaming quality like the Nokia 6620 since they have the same feature. The Nokia 6600 says that it has RealOne Multimedia player built-in with the protocol: RealMedia and "3GPP" built-in, and the 6620 says it has RealOne player. What is meant by the protocol "3GPP".

Three 'supercarriers' and T-Mobile... what's T-M's plan?

Verizon, 42 million customers, check. Cingular & ATTW merger, 46 million customers, check. Sprint and Nextel merger, 39 million customers, check.

And then there's T-Mobile, trying to compete with the above, with 16 million customers and a much smaller revenue stream.

I'm just wondering what T-M's strategy is going to be to compete with the above. The coverage that the three 'supercarriers' will be eventually able to bring to bear (and that Verizon already brings to bear) once the mergers are technologically complete is pretty frightening. What will T-Mobo do? Will they try to simply be the cheap urban-only alternative, or will they do a go-for-broke coverage expansion via mergers with any regional GSM carrier they can snap up plus big...

Wow...what's this mean?

"Cingular said it will integrate the two companies' systems and networks within 18 months to two years, but analysts said that goal seems lofty. "I didn't really think that was realistic; it's a big challenge, with the number of billing systems, platforms and especially with the launch of any new technologies, like wideband CDMA [Code Division Multiple Access]," said Redman. "Verizon, when it became one company, was only at 90 percent after four years, and Cingular is the largest network integration to date. Can it be done? Certainly it can be done, but I'd say at least two to four yearsโ€”if ever."

"Cingular, a joint venture of SBC Communications Inc. and BellSouth Corp., has begun to fulfill the divestiture obligations required by feder...

Sharp TM-200 for T-Mobile?

I was looking @ Sharp TM-200 at Phonescoop:
https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=650 »
and then checked Wirelessimports.com to see if they carry it. They do carry it for $649.00 and the picture they have on their site has T-Mobile's logo on it. Does this mean that T-Mobile will eventually carry this phone? What about TM-210?

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

Happy New Year

Time to address
a new year

โ€ฆ enter

deal with the project at hand
yet resolve not to dwell on past

never stop dreaming
even on the last exhale
and
find it in your heart
to forgive
then you will be forgiven in likeness
try
smile,
even when sad
this provokes the inner smile
to surface

take each day
as itโ€™s dealt
and be thankful for the wealth
mother nature doles

now take a deeeeeeeeep
meditative breath
youโ€™re alive โ€ฆ arenโ€™t you?

T-Mobile Retail Jobs

๐Ÿ˜ Good Morning: I was wondering how long does T-Mobile take to call you back if you apply with them, and are given the online test? Where I live, their website says they are hiring for retail sales associate in the T-Mobile Corp. Stores. I was wondering if I could get a job with yall? I have been a customer for like two years now, and I think I can help people with questions that they might have regarding phones that are currently out, about the plans, and how good customer service is. Someone please give me some imput on this. Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜

T-Mobile's site problem

I went to T-Mobile's site and signed in. I have the Samsung d-415. So I click "download games" to see if my phone is now able to download games. My phone does come up, but everytime I click on my phone it says "Error. If problem priests call 611." I really don't want to call just yet. So I go to the regular home page of the site and click "service & features" go down to games, click on it and it doesn't come up w/ my phone. I am wondering why it comes up when I am logged in. In the "download games" section and not on the regular home page.

T-Mobile's Future: Straight from the top at Deutsche

Some of you have been wondering about this...so here is an official article:
_____________________________________________ __

Kai-Uwe Ricke, chief executive of Deutsche Telekom, has ruled out making acquisitions or stepping up investments for its US mobile phone business in spite of the planned merger of rivals Sprint and Nextel.

The merger means T-Mobile USA will have half the US customers of Sprint-Nextel, Verizon Wireless or Cingular, prompting some concern that it will be unable to match its rivals' investment and marketing muscle in the long term.

However, Mr Ricke said he believed the US market, with 280m people and a penetration rate of only 60 per cent, was large enough for four players.

โ€œIt does not matter whether you ha...

Before New Phones become available?

๐Ÿ˜ Hi: I have a question. Before a phone comes out on the market, is it true that the Manufacturer comes to the service provider and shows them their portfolio with phones and the service provider reviews them and makes their selections, and then the manufacturer provides it to the service provider. Or, the service provider tells the manufacturer what they want in a phone and then the manufacturer make the phone based on the company's needs? I think its the first one, not the second one.
