Samsung E335

I know ya'll have noticed by now that Samsung is making what looks to be an upgrade for the recently released E315. It has a different design, but when it's released for T-Mobile, a lot of people might simple opt for it instead of the E315. I for one might be one of those people. I had my eye on the E315, but when I saw Samsungs new addition today, I had to make a decision.

Question: Why would Samsung/T-Mobile release an upgrade for a phone they just released not even a month ago?

If anyone has anymore info on the Samsung E335, it'd be greatly appreciated. 😉

2005 deals/phones

I'm planning to switch to T-Mobile in March, as that's when I'm coming off of my Nextel contract. I plan to get either the Nokia 6600 or something along those lines when I sign up.

Two questions:

1)Should I expect to be able to get similar deals to the ones that are available now, such as the a1wireless.com $49.99 (after rebates)? Might the deals be worse (or better)?

2)What are the odds that another reasonably priced smart phone will be available through T-mobile by March of 2005?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Nationwide Plans

😁 Hi: Does any T-Mobile employee know or has heard anything on them bringing back the 1000 minutes with Unlimited Night & Weekend minutes for $39.99? I would like to know is that plan is coming back anytime soon? I am on the 600 minutes with Unlimited Night and Weekend minutes plan for $39.99 a month. I seem to be coming real close to going over my minutes every month, thats why I am asking for the 1000 minutes with Unlimited Night and Weekend minutes for $39.99 a month. Can any body help? 😢

V600 Belt Clip??

I was surprised to see that my new V600 did not come with a belt clip. I have not seen a Motorola OEM belt clip for the V600 either. Does Motorola make a belt clip for this phone? If not, where's the best place to purchase one?

Slightly confused...

I activated 2 lines each with the Motorola A630 on the 2nd of Dec. I also added T-Zones on like the 4th to each phone. I can access everything t-Zones has to offer it appears now after 72hours of waiting, but I still can not set-up my email via the built in phone app. It says please verify my subscription and try again... Did I understand T-Zones wrong in the fact that it does not allow email? Or does it allow email only via some other application in T-Zones?

Also, I went to the reqwireless wap site and put html viewer on my cell, but when I go to type in an address to visit it pauses while contacting for 2 mins then finally says could not connect to server... Do I need the $19.99 internet plan to utilize this application or should T-Zon...

New Sharp phone?

Has anybody heard any info about the Sharp TM200? I saw it on another website and the picture of the phone had T-Mobile on the front of it. It has a 2.0 megapixel camera, video, and Bluetooth. Anyone heard of it?

Unlocked Phones?

I just bought two unlocked phones (v620 for myself and v501 for my girlfriend); I've never purchased an unlocked phone and was wondering, what steps I need to take to have our t-mobile service switched to these new phones. Do I need to contact t-mobile directly or is switching the sim cards sufficient enough, and will still be able to access my t-zones (grandfathered $2.99 plan - thought that was very classy of T-mobile to honor the original price).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can the E315 be used on SunCom's network?

Simply can this Samsung model be used on the "TDMA" GSM network of SunCom.

I only ask because T-Mobile's coverage is amazingly bad in this area--and I'm less than one mile away from the highway.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, CUSTOMER CARE REPS PLEASE READ!

Okay, I don't know how many of you are doing this, but it must be a lot of you considering how many people come in to my store. When a customer calls in and you refer them to a retail store for a change of responsibility, or an upgrade phone AFTER you have already extended their contract, or anything else like that, PLEASE don't tell them to "just go in to any T-Mobile store." There are a lot of us who are indirect dealers, and when you tell the customer that they assume that any location with a T-Mobile sign can take care of what they need. It's frustrating for me and for them, and they are confused about why I can't help them. It would be very helpful if you would just make it clear to them that they need to go in to a corporate owned ...

Nokia Flip Phones

Since T-Mo and Cingular/ATT are the only two major companies carrying GSM, is T-Mo expected to carry the Nokia flip phones next year?

Email Setup + Web Browsing?

Ok, I am trying to get email working on my A630. I am not sure if it supports a pop email account like roadrunner or just like a hotmail email account. I have tried to setup both, but always get that it did not respond. I am getting a good signal where i am though.

I added T-zones for 4.99, it has yet to kick in as I can not do anything but the basic T-zone stuff. Do I need to wait. is that the problem?

Also, I can not use the browser to go to reqwireless and download the trial version of their html viewer via the wap address. When I tru to do so it does tell me the T-zone unlimited plan is required for this... So I am pretty sure I have to wait until 72hours from when I asked them for it... is that right?

International Roaming

Just returned from a trip to the UK.

I took a my phone with me because I always get a pre-paid service thru Virgin Mobile when I'm in London. Anyways, I turned my phone on to check the time on my way to the store and I noticed that I was roaming. So I placed a call just check it out and it went thru. Now, I've never bothered applying for international roaming and so I was a little surprised. Is international roaming part of everyone's package?

Have I been wrong all this time???

I just had a customer come in and want to upgrade to the V180. He said Customer Care offered him the phone for 19.99... WITHOUT a contract extension. I told him I'd never heard of such. (The phone was ultimately back ordered, so he was going to buy it from us, til he found out it was 99.99 + 1 year extension.)

Soooo.... he calls Customer Care. They told him that extending your contract is merely and option and that you can certainly upgrade the handset and stay in a month to month. So there, I was looking like a jackass. I called MY boss, and he said he'd never heard of such a thing. He has owned wireless stores since 1997. He thinks perhaps you can buy the phone without discounts and NOT have to extend; but if you receive the sub...
