Siemens CF62...The Perfect Successor to the V66...

In that it's possibly the cheapest feeling handset I've ever held. A good friend recently had her number ported from Sprint to Tmobile, and this is the phone she decided to go with (I know, I know...I wasn't there). When I had a chance to sit down and play with the handset, I was extremely surprised at how cheaply it felt to the hand. Cheap plasticky keys (and the annoying tendency to hit select while attempting to navigate through menus), a very light plastic exterior, and ringer volume that left me entirely unimpressed. I DID think the speaker was decent, but not great...and I thought the screen looked okay (better than my Nokia 3589). I know this phone screams "entry level", but c'mon Tmobile! You just got rid of the v66...let's not crawl...

Hi
Target Sales Man Said that T Mobile To Go (easyspeak) will be getting all new phones in the next month of october and november, he said tmobile is better than Virgin Mobile Wich i have right now 🙂 Because after u top up $250 or more on your account you will get gold rewards so the minutes will be worth more than your paying for them, also tmobile prepaid cards will be getting different incriments of money instead of just $20, $40, $50, and $100 or whatever they have now they will get more choices for how much money on the card is and they will be getting new phones mabey a new camera phone too!!!!!! 😁 😁 😁 😳 😳 🙄 I hope so!!!

Sharing towers with AT&T?

I live in New Orleans and have always had a problem receiving a signal at my house. Recently, my phone has been switching over to AT&T wireless and my signal is MUCH better at home. I called and was told that there is a sharing towers deal between the 2 companies (but I never noticed it before.) I thought it might have been a temporary thing due to the Hurricane that came down but Cust. Serv. told me it has always been that way. What I really want to know is this: 1.Is it permanent? 2. Will I be charged roaming fees? (I haven't as of yet unless I call to check my voicemail under AT&T).

Most Cost Effective PrePaid Service?

I am looking for a pre paid service for USA only. Each one of the carriers seems to have a "hidden" charge, like Verizon .10/min but .25/first min connection fee. I notice ATTW pushes many pre paid plans and T-M has a few.

Does anyone know which is the most cost effective to use?

Sidekick Unlimited Data Overseas Question...

Hi, currently I am a rep for Verizon Wireless through an auth. agent. I know about VZW and how they work and everything and would not leave them unless I really thought there would be some advantage and I want to know if there is one.

My question is this, I know if I went with T-Mobile and had a Family Share plan with two Sidekick II's, one for me and one for the wife, both with unlimited data for $20.00 - If I was in Europe or some coverage area where it was going to be .99 cents or more to make a call - would we be charged anything extra for me tx t msg'ing from Europe and her back to me? I assume no...

Taking it further, would I be able to check my email without a .99 cents per minute fee? Also, what about getting onto AIM I assum...

GPRS Questions

I have a Laptop and a T-Mobile Motorola V600. I know I can use the V600 as a modem to call my Internet Service Provider (ISP) and only use up my air time but the speed is rather slow (about 10 kbps).

I've been told that to access T-Mobile GPRS network I have to dial *99#. Do I just use air time to use GPRS or do I have to sign up for some data plan? How fast is GPRS? Also, what carrier has the access code of *99***3#.

Thank you very much for any response.

V600 specs changing daily on T-Mo

Has anyone other than me noticed that the T-Mo specs for the recently introduced ( recently to T-Mo that is, months ago for everyone else) Moto V600 are changing daily on their OWN web site?

Yesterday it was a "tri-band" phone (of course everyone out there knows that it was engineered with a quad-band radio, covering 850, 900, 1800, & 1900 Mhz GSM).

Today it is a "dual-band (900/1900)" on the web site.

Its bad enough to think that T-Mo somehow monkeyed with the software of this phone to disable the 850 Mhz band so that you couldn't take the phone with you to AWS or Cingular but now they don't even give us the 1800 Mhz band (which I may use in Europe - some of us do have a reason to go there).

After waiting for a month or so for t...

Which phone for best reception?

I am about to switch to TMobile and wanted to ask what phone does everyone recommend?

My concerns in order of importance are:

1.) Reception, especially in fringe areas.

2.) Battery life.

3.) I have had bad luck with Nokia in the past so I will not consider them.

I use my strictly for business (3000 minutes+). I do not care if it is flip or bar. I NEVER use AIM, camera, web etc.

Again, all I care about is reception and battery life.

If you have experience, good or bad, let me know and please provide details. I've seen lots of post where people make comments that I consider irrelevant opinions (ie camera doesn't look good, software slow, etc). These types of issues are not related to reception so I don't care.

Any...
