When I quit Dish Network they threw all sorts of free stuff at me to get me to stay. Same thing for AOL. Is Nextel the same way?

I want to believe that getting a new phone will solve all my signal woes, but I sure don't want to be tied to another two years with these people and be out another $300 in new phone and accessories just to find out that it's just as bad.

If I call up customer service and tell them that I'm thinking of cancelling my service and why, will they (or can they) do anything for me to try and get me to stay? Can they offer me any sort of money back deals or guarantees if even with the new phone it turns out they suck?

Which of the current flip phones has the best reception and signal? I have gone through two i730s and they both sucked. I need something better than this or I'm going to have to bail on Nextel.

Ok so I called a Nextel customer and it sounded different, it said "PLease hold while the sprint subscriber you are trying to reach is located." Now this number is in Jersey but here in NC it has not switched yet. Any where else?

First of all, I'm not claiming that what I'm about to tell you is the "absolute truth" I'm just telling you what I've heard, because I think people here want to know. I have family that work for nextel. The i930 has pretty much been confirmed. However, it will not have bluetooth. It will have iden, Widen, and GSM, because it is going to be nextel's new world phone. Which means that phone will already have triple radios, and I haven't seen a quaddruple radio phone yet. What IS going to happen though is there is going to be a whole i9xx series. There will be an i960 that improves upon the i930 and adds bluetooth in exchange for removing the gsm functionality. hey ive been lookin everywhere on the internet and basically still have the same question. i just moved where sprint service is amazing, and nextel service is sub par. hearing of the new finalization of the merge made me happy, asuming that they sprint and nextel will be sharing towers maybe, and my service would be that of my friends who use sprint. My impression now is that thats not the case, and any improvement will take alot of time anyway. I understant the improvement of the 2way will take a while because of the difference in technology of CDMA and iden (believe those r the two) but what about just the regular phone service? any info on when i can expect service to get that of what sprint, or anything useful in respect to improved serv...

My nextel rep said his boss came back from some big wig conference and had seen the prototype duel band(whatever it is) phone. I think the phone will be able to use the sprint tower sites although its a nextel phone. Is this correct?
