The NBC show "Las Vegas" and the i930

I was watching the show last night and one of the cast had an i860 and the older guy on the show was carrying aroun dand using the i930. I guess this is a sign they are still going to come out with this phone I hope.

A good beginner's phone

Which one of Nextel's phones makes a good phone to use for someone who is new to Nextel? I want a phone that is reliable and nicely priced and no it DOESN'T have to be a flip phone (even though most of Nextel's phones are flip designed) and it should be able to hold on to a signal really well. So what do you reps or people who are in the know recommend? 😁

New customer and nextel partners question

Hello all I just recently started nextel service. While the reception is not as nice as my employee cingular phone I love teh PTT feature. My whole team started service rather than send hundreds of text messages. My question for you all is when I sign into my account I am getting bombarded with merger information. When I call care or the store they mention because I am with Nextel partners i am not part of the merger. ANyone know what will happen to my coverage in major cities then? Will partners ever be part of the merger? I was thinking of trading in my I730 for the I830. Is there any draw backs to the I830? thans

Nextel changes...

Will Motorola/iDEN phones always have the Nextel splash screen on the display and Nextel stickies on the outside or will Sprint change that too?

Migration from Partners to Sprint

I am currently a Nextel Partners customer. I am interested in switching to Spring for the Treo 650. However, I would like to keep my number, and avoid paying early termination. Is this possible? Or do I have to switch numbers to a Communications market and then migrate to SPrint???

Thanks

HELP THE PEOPLE IN NEW ORLEANS!

Hey for all of you that work in a call center...I was reading in the lounge and someone had a good idea. You know how you get points for being late and stuff like that? Well yall should organize a drive where if you bring in a case of water or food then you get 1 point back up to 5 points and everything is sent to NO. Please relay this on to your supervisors. I feel really strongly about this...These are AMERICANS DYING!

Nextel Service Issues

First let me start by saying that I really like my "Beep Beep" service as my employees call it. It comes in very handy for quick succinct conversations. My problem is the service level of Nextel is terrible and it is making me nuts. I travel all around the country and the service levels are shaky. This summer alone I have been in Upstate New York, Knoxville, TN, Fort Wayne, IN Myrtle Beach, SC and Colubus, OH all with major problems. I can stand in one spot and have no service move three feet and have full service. This causes big problems when I am on the phone and I go into a dead spot and I lose the call. I have started carrying a prepaid Cingular phone because this is the only way I can get solid service. I was hoping the Merger would so...

i710: how do i manually change the time and date?

I believe i710 automatically synchronizes time and date as I couldn't find anything in the menu that lets me change the time and date. I'm going to bring the phone out of the country for a while and want to use it as an alarm clock, so I need to change the time and date once I'm there.

Please help, thanks!

Merger Question

I was looking Over the Sprint Nextel website, in the FAQs it said in the next few weeks I could switch over from Sprint to Nextel (or vice versa) without paying an ETF, activation fee or having to run my credit or pay a deposit. All I have to do is resign a 2 yr. agreement. Any truth to that? Thanks in advance for your help.

Looking for a good carrier...

Hey everyone! I am desperately looking to get away from Sprint! The only things I like about Sprint are their cellphones & their Ready Link service. I was looking at Verizon, Nextel, & Cingular. I was wondering which one of these offer the best Service and features. I am looking for PTT service, Early nights, and mobile to mobile. Most important is the ability to make phone calls!! I know Nextel has the best PTT hands down but what about the cellphone part? Is it reliable? I would like for someone to help "sell" me on their service. I will post this in the other forums to see what everyone says. The reason I wanted to post it here is because I see there are a lot of cellular employees posting in here. Thanks for your time. 😁

CNN article on the merger!!!

http://money.cnn.com/2005/08/23/technology/techinves ... »

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Sprint Nextel, the company created from the merger of the two wireless giants, has assumed the old ticker symbol of Sears, the single-letter "S."

The 19th letter of the alphabet is apt since it is also the symbol of Superman...and Sprint Nextel has certainly been the super hero among telecom stocks lately.

Shares are up 7 percent this year and 40 percent during the past 12 months. Compare that to the three major Baby Bells. BellSouth (Research), SBC Communications (Research) and Verizon Communications (Research) are all down year to date and during the past 52 weeks.

Will Sprint (Research) continue to be the darling of the telecom ...
