Motorola

I've read that cell phone battery life can be extended by conditioning/calibrating the lithium ion battery. I'm familiar with the concept and procedure from computer laptops (charge fully, run all the way down till device shuts down, charge fully), but am wondering if it's, indeed, advisable to do with cell phones (and the RAZR V3 in particular). And does Motorola have an official position on this?

Hi, I HAVE a data cable from Mobilesandpdas.com (ebay) The guy swears that the cable works--but the software link they provide does not contain the drivers for this phone. (their response is they've sold 100's --and all work! Their offering a refund--I don't want a refund--I want it to work!)

What am I missing??

The link (they provide for the drivers) points me to a zip file which expands into a setup program. I run this setup and it appears ok--yet when I plug the phone in, the PC says new hardware found and looking for a driver. NOWHARE is the actual driver! The phone shows up in device mangr but with the explanation point! and says it wont work.'(BTW--SAME results on 2 pc's and 2 OS's!! (98/SE and XP)

I am interested in why Motorola created the 1st generation RAZR only in GSM. I use Verizon and was hoping to be able to use this model on their network. Does anyone know if the RAZR V2 will be CDMA compliant?

About a week ago my 2 month old V551's signal reception dropped about 90% out of the blue 😳

I put my wife's V551(bought at same time as mine) side by side and her phone recieves a full 5 bars(EDGE) while mine is at 1 bar on the basic digital.

Anyone else have had similar problems with this model signal wise?

I'm in Far North Richardson Texas(Dallas) on the Cingular Network.

I need to buy 50 tri-band phones without PTT, and 5 with PTT. My number one priority is reception (analog & digital), followed by reliability.

Found quite a bit of info about the V60s and V276, but not much on the T300p and V65p.

As you can imagine, with this kind of a financial commitment, I don't want to make a bad decision. I am limited to the current Verizon offerings and a price range of $50 or less. Bar vs clamshell is not important.

The 50 phones without PTT (V60s or V276) will be used in vehicles with car kits.

The 5 phones with PTT (T300p or V65p) will have light duty use by office staff.

I am also looking at the Kyocera KX 444 & SoHo KX1v, the Samsung SCH a650 and the LG VX 330, VX 4650/4700 & VX ...

I have seen that the E815 supports POP and IMAP, but nowhere can I find where to set it up.

In the MobileWeb tools v2.0, I see e-mail and it will allow me to setup MSN, AOL, and Yahoo, but I don't see where I can setup an IMAP account.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hey, I just bought a New Motorola V635 and I'm trying to download some songs from the usb cable (i already know how to do it), but i jsut need to know how to change a ".wma" music file (mp3, i guess) to a "midi sequence" file so i can put it on my phone to put it on the mp3 player...(Do I need some type of program/software or something?)

Does anyone know how I can get my v551 unlocked. My carrier was AT&T Wireless which is now cingular and their reps have no clue. They told me to contact motorola and motorola referred me back to the carrier. Any suggestions????

I'm in Brazil, and I have a Motorola C650. I install the Motorola Mobile Phone Tools 3.11 and is OK, but the PST do not detect my cell...
All devices was installed (USB Composite Device, Assessories interface, Data Logging MCU Interface and Test Command Interface), but when I use "Flash & Test Commands" it says: "Invalid WIBU key or WIBU key is not present".

i cant transfer games cuz pst says phone is not connected and so does midway and p2kman... what should i do? everything is correctly installed... i really im losing my patience.... if anyone can tell me step by step what i should do or know any other posible way of transfering games i would really apreciate it...

I noticed when i was cleaning up my trans flash card on my pc i noticed there were pre made folders already one of them was "skinz" so my question is it possible to get more than three default skins/profiles on the E815.

Is the Motorola V220 able to receive a 10 second MMM video from a V551?

When I sent a 10 second MMS video to a V220, she got the message: "Image Too Large".

Is there anything we can do??

What happened to the A630 ? It offered many cool features,+ QWERTY keyboard with small, unique size.UNBELIEVABLE that no one is offering this completely "different" small phone. Never saw many people have but that only enhanced it's uniqueness 2 me. Is there a problem with quality ? What will replace it ?

Saw MOTOROLA ACOMPLI 009 on world phone site & it is similar with QWERTY keyboard but bigger & more of a SMARTPHONE(no problem) & not as "cool". Is this a new phone ? Will it matter, if I buy this phone or a A630 on Ebay, whether or not I use a T-MOBILE sim card or CINGULAR ? Thanx 4 input .

I flashed phone last night to superdave's firmware.
Installed MPT version 3.0 and ran it, phone was connected but no multimedia icon displayed on menu.
I reset the modem to motorola #2 and Manually selected v710M, which allowed me to see multimedia icon on menu and connect v710 by using USB and motorola usb cable.
My problem is when I click on the mutimedia icon and opens the menu, connection to phone is broken and unable to download or upload files from my PC.
Please help!!!
