LG VX-7000

What is the difference between the VX7000 and VX8000? They seem pretty similar, so is there any big differences?

sorry for being a newb... but what can i do with the data cable? and what (hardware/software) do i need in order to do these things?

I'm still within my 15 days to exchange my A670 for this phone. Does anybody "in the know" know when the v710 is coming out and if the price of this phone will drop then (or if it'll drop regardless w/in the next week or so)?

Also, I'm interested in two other things?
1) How often do you charge your phone? (i.e. battery life time w/usage)
2) I was downloading midis from eringers for my ringtones - I saved it via the "save sound" in my pix msg on the A670 - does it work the same way on this phone?

Any new info on who gets the 7000A? Verizon? Alltel?

When you are taking a picture and go to options and select night mode what does it do, I've done this but havent noticed any change.

This may sound lame, but I believe this is a good phone, and I kind of anticipate the v710 being a piece. On the other hand the vx7000 is ugly as hell in my opinion. Does anyone know if you can change the face plate? 😕

Ive been sending videos back n forth w ecko so yeah u can send from 7000 to 7000. If u cant w 710, maybe thats the bug/software issue thats been holding up the 710 release

Okay, I've got an LG data cable from Korea (fits like a glove but who knows if it will actually work). Got the Bitpim .7 software. Installed the LG Drivers found on a HoFo thread. Now Win XP thinks there is an LG modem when the phone is attached so at least the cable works that much. Try to "get data" in BitPim but it comes back and says the phone isn't responding. Any suggestions??? I want to get pictures off the phone and possibly load some ringtones. Thanks!!! 😳

Can this phone forward calls you dont answer to a diff phone line... my old t-mobile could do that and I was wondering if this phone could as well.

I was wondering where people are getting their vx6000 data cables to use with their 7000s. I see all of these cables on ebay for like under $10. Has anyone had any experience with these cheaper cables? I wanna get one and use the bitpim software with it. Are there any differences between these cheap cables and the expensive ones from, for example, Verizon? Someone lemme know. Thanks 😳

people r comparing dis n dat etc etc but the big difference is that the 7000 is out n about n I can take videos and have been sending videos to people (other 7000s and email too)back and forth and its so ****ing cool. The 710 isnt sending any videos yet, as a matter of fact, there is no 710 yet sooooo all these comparisons r moot. In the emantime Im gonna shoot videos left n right and its so cool

How do you send MP3's to this phone? I don't have the data cable yet, so how do I do it without it?

Well, I'm returning my LG VX7000 today, since want to try out the Motorola V710, I'm sure going to miss the blue little fella, it's such a great phone!

I must say that, overall, I'm very pleased with the phone. I just wish it had speaker phone. I also wish it were all silver, but that's personal preference.

I have 23 ringtones on it, all of which I uploaded with a Futuredial LG VX6000 cable and BitPim software.

I also love the fact that I'm able to download the pictures on the phone with BitPim to my computer, to e-mail of whatever.

Well, now it's a more waiting for the V710, if I find anything wrong with it, I'll happily purchase the VX7000 again, but not before having the V710 for a few days...

Is there any way to get free ringtones and games for LG7000? I think $7.50 for 5 modtones is a fair price, but $6.95 for the game of Tetris is slightly too much... I do not have a cable yet, but planning to buy soon.
