LG VX-7000

😁 Just wanted to clear some things up for anyone who isn't sure.

1) You CAN use BitPim with you LG VX7000.
-To UPLOAD Ringtones from your computer on to the phone.
-To UPLOAD images (Wallpaper) frome your computer on to the phone.
-To DOWNLOAD pictures you've taken with the phone onto your computer.
-To DOWNLOAD video that you've taken with the phone onto your computer.

2) You CAN use a Futuredial LG VX6000 USB datacable with your LG VX7000.

These are USB data cables found at Radio Shack. You don't need to "hack" or modify the cable in any way, shape or form. Although it isn't meant to fit into the slot, it will fit niecly if you insert the plug at a certain angle. You'll even hear a click from the 2 little side buttons li...

i just got this phone yesterday... and lookin at it now i think immma return it.. heres why: first its big.. for those of you who havent seen it, its like the moto t720 but bigger (yea i compared the two) and the front cover looks PURPLISH BLUE! which is gay! the status lights that come on when someone calls or turns on/off flashes RAINBOW colors red,pink,purple,blue,green. IF SOMEONE CAN TELL ME HOW TO TURN THAT OFF PLS LET ME KNOW. this top and bottom banners on the main and front LCD are always red, cant change that.. and i as far as i can tell it doesnt play mp3s.. i know some of you know how it can.. pls let me know.. what else.. yea the camera does seem cheap.. alot of my friends who saw the phone said it does look cheap.. i think im...

You can erase the annoying eri banner on inside and out 🙂. All you have to do is notch out the connector so it fits the 7000...It's a perfect fit, not loose at all. Bitpim only reads phonebook and Filesystem..revisions will allow you to add wallpaper and ringtones

What does that mean? I can't seem to receieve a specifc Mp3 file.. but I'm able to recieve other types. What does that paticular error mean?

Well, Once it sends.. I go to the website and it isn't there. But a picture from eariler is there and I try sending it to my phone and I can an error. Or I'll get a txt msg saying to go look at the website. It never goes through. WHY?

Like an idiot i was playing around with the buttons and locked my phone ( by holding down #) The manual says the unlock default code is 0000. Well it doesnt work. Any one know what to do???????

I read about setting up a non-VZW WAP on howard forums. I have no clue what the instructions were talking about. i dont want to mess up my phone, so i dont want to do anything permanent. what's the deal with this?

if it's done, what are the charges? what can you do with the WAP?

found a web site that allows you to download free ringtones to your vx7000 or vx6000, and soon for the v710 probably. they have over 3,000 ring tones. the web site also allows people to send pictures to it, which you might find to be interesting. the ringers worked for my 7000..check it out

I have the LG VX7000 and I'm loving it!

I wanted to know what's the best way to get ringtones on it.

I know some people simply hold the phone up to a speaker and record.

I know some people just get ringtones from "Get It Now" for $1.99 each or so.

I know some people send upload it to the vzwpix.com site and then send it to there phone for 25 cents.

I tried this last method. I uploaded 92KB midi ringtones to the vzwpix.com site and sent it to my phone, and then I sent the same rintones along with a picture and both times it said "Failed To Play Pix MSG" The picture showed up find though.

Can anyone please help? Is anyone else having/had the same problem?

Hello, I'm new here and I had a question. I just picked up the 7000 on 4th of the July. I love to be honest. I'm not sure if I should've waited till the 8000.. but it's ok.

Ok, to my question. I hear you can send an Mp3' to your phone. So I tired it.. I changed the mp3 to .mid and uploaded it to my yahoo account and sent it out. I never recieved it. How come?

To Email it to the phone is it .. moblie#@vzwpix.com?

Is there a speicifc size it can't go over.. cause I sent like a 2 mins song to my phone.

1)Have you been able to upload ringtones and images to your LG VX7000 through your modified data cable with BitPim?

2)Have you been able to download pictures and videos that you've taken with the LG VX7000 on to your computer through your modified data cable?

Does any one know how to delete the sound after you recorded one? I can't find any thing in the menu on how to delete them

Does the 7000 have screen savers? I've been trying to find out by researching on the net myself but I haven't found a definite answer either way.

If they do, can they be assigned to the external LCD or do they only work on the main LCD?

Question to VX 7000 users:

1) During an incoming call, what appears on the front LCD? Just the name or number (as 4600), or both (name AND number) at the same time (4400)?

2) And when not in use, does it show both, date AND time?

3) And finally, do I must have a wallpaper on the front LCD, or can you turn it off?

Went to Verizon, saw the 7000, bigger than the 6000, did not like the cover. The only thing better was the graphics and since I don't use the camera (have taken 8 pictures to use as ring ID's but don't really need that) and can't see how anyone can get excited about a flash on a 640x480 resolution, and it does not play MP3 files, I think I will wait it out and see how the moto 710 looks (if it ever comes out). And most important - they did not fix the problem with the keypad lights going out too fast.
