LG VX-7000

i was wondering if there was a way to make the camera sort of change so that u dont have to have ur phone facing the person ur takin a pictre of...like instead of the lense being in the internal part of the phone, can u make it so it can be on the external part?

Quallcomm or however you spell it has a service program called qpst download that and you will be able to write gifs to phone instead of overwriting gifs emailed to you..this is the only advantage I can see over bitpim...for god sake the prog even recognizes your ESN and phone model...wierd

As you know by know I really didn't like the multicolor lights in the front of the phone when you receive calls and for outgoing calls as well. So I bought a small Philip's head screw driver and opened the front flip up. The screw's are behind the rubber dots. once open you will see the 2 separate LED's all I did was put black electrical tape over them and put the flip back together VERY EASY!!! and no it doesn't interfere with the flash for the camera. It doesn't look like anything is done to it with the case back on. AND NO MORE LIGHTS!!!! If you don't like the LEDS give this a try and let me know. Hope this is useful

Has anyone found a way to lock individual contacts?
I was able to do it on my old Samsung, but can't find a way to do in on the 7000.

Where do u guys normally wear your phone? I work in a wearhouse and am afraid that I will Bump my phone alot when its on my belt. Also, has anyone found a good way to keep the lens from getting scratched, it seems as if its in a prime place to get scratched.

i actually use this option often when i don't have time to mess with zoom, brightness, etc.

does anyone know if there is a way to control the options of the picture for when you take it with the phone closed?

Anyone know if animated gifs use more battery? I just put on the Matrix gif and it seems the battery isn't holding a charge as long. Hard to say as I'm using the phone a lot this weekend.

in the camera options it says counter light. what does that mean? and night mode means that it takes in more light right? and is there any way to zoom while using the front lcd as a camera?

I'm torn between these two phones. While the Moto looks increadable and has a lot of sweet features, the LG seems to have better reliability. Judging by the responses from the LG, and how people say stay away from Motorola all together, I'd say the LG would be the better phone, but I need help! 😕

Can I make T9 my default? On my old lg everytime I went to do something it started in t9 and i really liked that? can abc mode be switched so it started w/ t9 first?

the PS.com features listing says the VX7000 has a features called Call Screening and describes it as:

"A digital "answering machine", replacing voice mail, which plays an announcement and records messages on the phone. The user can listen to a caller while they leave a message, and optionally answer the phone. Unlike voice mail, airtime is used while the caller is leaving the message."

anyone know how to use and/or access this?

Is it even enabled with the current software revision? if not, anyone have any idea when it might be released?

I currently have a Kyocera QCP3035, which I love, but it's getting old and I figure it's time to upgrade. My roommate just got an a670 which he loves, but I'm torn between it and the VX7000.

One factor to consider is price. I can get the Samsung for much cheaper I think (I think I can get $100 off from New Every Two), but there might be a price drop on the 7000 after the vx8000 come out.

Other than that, I think I'm leaning towards the LG but I need to see both in the store. One thing I like about my 3035 is the UI...it's always seemed to me to be more intutitive/easier to use than other cell interfaces. I like how on the a670 you can set the menu to the same 3x3 grid layout that I find useful on my 3035. How is the UI on the v...
