Motorola V710

i've tried and it changes the .3pg to 3ppg2 format and my phone rejects it

When we get iTunes wouldn't it make the v710 better than the ipod? or can ipods download music also?

Is it? Please say yes. Don't answer unless you ordered the v710 mobile office kit for 39.99... I just got shafted by a company I did a lot of serial cables through, and their USB cabels are "house brand" and suck butt and don't work with MPT/PST...

I GETTIN THE V810 FOR NOW ,BUT DOES ANYONE KNOW IF US CELLULAR WILL EVEN GET THE 710 AND IF SO WHEN?

I am soon going to open my version of VZW mobile office. If anyone has installed it in the past, any suggestions or tips on the installation or usage would be greatly appreciated.

my friend has a HP h4355 pocket pc with bluetooth built in and i thought i'd experiment with the bluetooth in my phone as well and see if i could pair them, etc..i was able to set up the pairing and use my v710 as a modem via bluetooth up and running in minutes! i was amazed..so much that i'm going to purchase a pocket pc to accompany my v710 for when i'm on the road..(not the only reason b/c that pocket pc is sweeeeet!!) works with my wireless network i have in my house too..so great for hotspots!

Has anybody used the Mobile office kit (USB cable) from verizon? does it work with a mac, or osx? i know i can buy it from motorola, but its easier to do it from verizon... i assume its the same as moto's because its still the same usb cable... someone please let me know! 🙄

regarding mp3's has anyone tried buying a 2.5mm to 3.5mm converter to see if this will accept allow us to play mp3s on normal headphones or say a car stereo tape adapter? I know it will play the mp3s and midis through the headset if you have it plugged in. It'd also be nice if we could set it so it continuously played through the songs once you started playing one. Then again, it would be nice to have a better player with playlists so you can distinguish between ringers and songs.

To play continuously you need to create a playlist, this is simple to do on the v710, just select new playlist, in one of the menus under sound

hey guys, i recently received my TF in the mail from amazon. i highly suggest you guys picking one up. I successfully cut an mp3 from 3:08 to about 20 seconds. The file size is 277Kb. I switched my storage to the TF but i can't seem to be able to "transfer" the mp3 to my phone. Do u guys know how to do it? I went under the options already and did "copy", "move", and all those other options but everytime it would say, "Unable to Move..." i have no idea what's wrong. can u guys help me out?

I'm eligible for the NE2 tomorrow, and I have been looking at this phone for awhile now. Obviously I've heard mixed reviews. I would like to get this phone, but not if it's going to suck. I don't really need the camera. It's a nice addition, but isn't going to dissuade me one way or the other. Also, for those of you with the phone, is the keypad really that bad? I went to a VZW store and on the model it felt weird, but it was something I could get used to.
I have the t730 now, and I like that phone a lot. I would like to stay with Moto, but not if this thing is a POS. Primarily, I'm buying for the speakerphone, and the fact that it's new because I'm not impressed with the other speaker phones that VZW is offering. Your feedback is gre...

I recently posted my woes about the V710 and MPT with the USB cable. Thank you for the help, it finally connected to the phone but the program is useless to me.

I want to transfer media files.

I exchanged MPT and USB for a 128mb card and reader for the computer. Does anyone have any experience transfering with this medium? Problems / Tips?

Is there any difference between the Motorola Mobile Phone Tools and Verion's Mobile Office? Do either work with the V710 yet? I assume both allow for dial up connectivity from laptop and phonebook back up. Do either allow for the transfer of pictures and MP3s to/from the Phone and PC??

I just downloaded iTunes to make the ringtones but realized that Windows 2000 or XP is needed and I got ME. Does anyone know a program that works just as good as iTunes to make ringtones that I would be able to use?

I saw where several people have been able to use the generic Acura TL instructions to pair their phones. I just got my phone and tried to pair, but with no luck. I have gone to Settings. Connection, Bluetooth link, Setup, and turned Power on, and then hit Find as to have the car discovery the phone using the Acura instructions, but nothing happens. Am I missing something?
