Motorola V710

I have heard people talking about how they can conect their Ipaqs to the v710 and use the interent. I am not having such luck any help.

I have a Ipaq 2215 with Bluetooth

This place has been a world of usefull knowledge and Useless knowledge been good reading. I have search a few times on this and could not come up with anyone explaing how they were able to get the internet to work on the ipaq.

I think the basic functions are excellent. This phone has so many features that other phones don't have. But that being said......there must be thousands upon thousands of people who bought this phone specifically for the BLUETOOTH CAPABILITIES!!!!!!! Yeah, it's cool that I can use the headset, but how many people would have bought this phone if they knew that Verizon Wireless intentionally crippled the majority of the Bluetooth capabilities. I bought this phone to sync with my car.... Can I????? No... Why??? Because Verizon says its a "security risk". Let's get a little real. You can use a password or individually turn off the Bluetooth funct...

Does anyone else have a problem with the battery life on this phone? My power dies after about 30 minutes of talking...that doesn't seem right...

I have had my 710 since the day it came out. I switched up from the lg 7000. The main reason I did this was for the mega pixel camera. (I was thinking it would actually be a decent low end digi cam) My picture quality sucks even on high res. NO better than the 7000's VGA camera. Am I doing something wrong to get these blurry dark pictures or does the cam just blow this bad? Can anyone post or email me pictures of decent quality that they have taken with their 710?( and tell me how you do it? Maybe it is me but I would like to see. I understand this is a camera in a phone. But it is supposed to be 1.2 mp. When digital camera's first came out that's all mine was, was 1.2 mp and those pictures were not the lame joke that my phone puts out. T...

I've heard everything from 3gp, 3g2, 3gpp, 3ga, i've used nokia's software to compress the video then transfering it to the phone and the phone does not recognize the file format and can't open it. Please help

How Much?

Anyone know any easy instructions on removeing the outside bezel that has gotten scratched from opening & closing. I figured that if it is easily removed, it would be easier to cover to protect it, with trying to get around the camera? Any help is appreciated.

After purchasing a v710 and realizing that it didn't work with my Apple laptop via bluetooth, I did some research. I went online to find all these threads with people who have the same problem. I called Verizon and talked to them for fourty-five minutes and explained everything I found and that I wanted a straight answer. He told me that he had no idea that the problem existed and that based on what I had told him he would check out phonescoop himself. I then talked to Motorola where they told me that Motorola doesn't support Apple, where I then proceeded to explain that can't be true due to the fact that Apple is making iTunes software for their phones starting next year as well as they make Apple's processors for their computers. I have a few questions that I'm wondering if anyone can answer. First of all, I bought the USB data connection kit for the V710 which came with Mobile Phone Tools 2.0. When I tried to connect the phone it recognized it was the V710, however, then nothing worked and it could not transfer any data. (Level 2, I thought I remembered the V710 working with your mobile phone tools and it showing the V710 on the computer screen after you connected it.) If anyone knows how to fix this or get some sort of update or something that'd be great.

Also, how do you transfer pictures from the phone to your computer if you are not using something like Mobile Phone Tools. The same thing goes with mp3s and other multimedia. I know people have been able ...

is there any way to make the picture id bigger on the external screen when some one calls and the picture id displays its a really small picture in the middle of the outside screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 😉

I hear so many people complaining about this phone and the limited BLUETOOTH capabilities, etc.

DO your homework, things can be done with this phone and yes, it is an A+ phone, no question.

😡 Well I picked up a new Motorola V710 phone with the Bluetooth headset. I was told at the time that I could download pictures and MP3's from and to the phone via USB cable and Bluetooth. They didn't have the data cable and software to do this though at the time I bought the phone. I ordered it from Motorola's website the next day. I was able to get Mobile Phone Tools to work after a day and half, but found out that there was no way to get the pictures etc. out of the phone with the USB or the Bluetooth. I should have checked here first I see. I see now how Verizon has crippled the phone's Bluetooth and file transfer abilities. Shame on Verizon and Motorola for doing/allowing this to happen. I just brought the 810 headset from Circuit City for $69.99, but when I talked to customer service rep at the store they told me that it was a discontinue model. So, what is the word on the 810, are they getting rid of it.

Is the camera on this phone really as bad as people are saying it is adn is there a way to make it better, because i saw pictures off a v600 and thye were really good, are pictures from a v710 as good as from a v600

Hi I just bought the Mobile Office Kit from Verizon. I was wondering if I would be able to use the USB Cable to put pictures and music onto my phone. Can this be done?

Using this forum as the great resource it is I've been taking MP3's off the Walmart site, converting to MIDI and emailing to my phone. Everything worked beautifully most of the day Friday and Saturday as I emailed 10 MP3's to my phone, but then Sunday night every file I sent was never received by the phone. I even tried sending via VZWPIX.com where it said "Send Success" but again never received by the phone.

Does anybody have any idea why it worked and now it doesn't? I called the clowns at Verizon data support and just got the "we don't support that feature" nonsense. If they don't support it, why does VZWPIX exist?!?

Contemplating getting my wife the 710 and a BT headset. If she decides on the Jabra 250 which is the same one I have, can we keep the headsets and phones from getting confused with each other? Anyone currently doing this?

Can someone tell me how to send Mp3s (and what to shrink them to size wise) from the usb to the phone?
