Hi, I have the whole free Wap thing set up using yahoo but I can't figure out how to check my hotmail email account. Is there a way to do this. I searched the forum for the answer, but couldn't find one. I also tried the galen.net thing. Thanks, Jen

Everyone seems to have there own speculations and input... I just wish Verizon would put out a press release to end this once and for all... and seriously, why not sue verizon? It would be in small claims court (phone + service agreement + incidentals) < $3,000. All it takes is a filing fee and the time to set up a court date. If memory serves me correctly you can't have a lawyer in small claims. Cost of putting VZW into customer's submission? Priceless!

I have read about every thread I can find on here and on the Howard site. I have not found anyone that solved the problem with not getting passed the initialization and I am wondering if there is an answer out there that I missed. I can't even do a live update, I get an error message that there is a block or filter somewhere and I have turned every security feature off on my pc and still get the same response. Like others here, the software saw the phone as the V710, but that was the end of it. XP gave me an error notice that the new hardware did not install properly, but it did not tell me what the problem is. I can not find any evidence of a driver being placed on my computer for the phone, even though the mobile phone software loaded ok. ...

Any way to force the phone into digital only through the programming menu?

I know the phone doesn't allow you to move files to the GIN area, but I know there are a few experienced hackers that hang out in these forums. Is there anyway that makes downloading a game to your transflash then moving it to your phones GIN area possible?

Ok, I am no programmer... but here are the facts...

We have the hardware, but not the software, so we need one of two things....

A "leak" from Motorola with a firmware patch and the ability to patch via usb.

A clever hacker than can do the same.


Just imagine if dell disabled hyperthreading on your pentium... what kind of BS is that.

I do think that the majority of us used the facts on phonescoop/motorola's website to make a purchase decision.

Does anyone out there know of other's providers limiting of the hardware they sell?

I've been looking here and on HoFo that last 4-5 days and catching more and more info on people saying they got full videos (movies, sitcom's etc.). I searched and got a link on HoFo on how to do it, but the link just led me to the general v710 HoFo forum, not a specific thread. Can anyone forward me to a thread or FAQ showing how to compress and get a longer video clip onto your 128 MB video card?

aight i have asked this question numerous times and nobody has replied to it yet....i have the phone and i cut down the song i wanted into 25 sec and changed it to a mid file. The size of the file is 198k. i sent this to my phone through vzwpix.com...i received the file and tried to download it. The phone says download failed try again later...can someone please help, i would like to get the ringtone on to my phone. It seems that a lot of people have been successful using this method i dont know why its not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

my previous 2 carriers att and spring would tell you what time VM was received does vz not have this as an option?

Tonight I transfered a whole episode of Friends to the transflash by converting from an .avi to a .3gp file with the nMMConverter_v2_0 (nokia converter program - Do a search and you can find the link.). The final compressed .3gp file was a little over 2MBs. The quality and sound is pretty good and will pass the time while in traffic :-) just kidding. But it will pass time when there is a lull at work...

You will see over 40 different bluetooth headsets. Is any one familier with the other brands? Not just Motorola, Jabra & Platronics. The Bluetrek G2 Looks real cool and got nice reviews. Can anyone compare more brands?
