I went to Radio Shack to inquire about the v710. Asked if it is a MP3 player and they said no. But, according to the site it is? What is the deal? I want the ability to play songs that I have downloaded from Napster. Can this be done?

I have successfully paired my computer and phone, but now I can't figure out how to transfer mp3 files - for that matter, I can't figure out how to transfer anything between the two, and can't find any instructions on any of the site or in the manuals. Does anyone have any advice?

Anyways, I see that people are saying to use Yahoo's "Wap" so that they dont get charged. Am I to understand correctly that you can use Yahoo's service and not get charged anything?

Any known solution to the volume issue when you are talking on the phone? When it is noisy I can't hear the person I am speaking to.

What does catstide want us to do with the files hes sending us? re-encode them or just test them on our phones? just curious. thanks

OK I was pretty upset, I figured that I might have just made the reg. email to get my free bluetooth item. I read all you guys get your "YOU WON" email, and I was a little down.. But I did not say one bad word... but today when I called my house I was told I had a box, and when opened I had a nice new BLUETOOTH SPEAKER waiting for me... I can't wait to go home to play w/it 🙂 what a suprise, I have even been looking on ebay and actualy bid on a speaker (THANK GOD I LOST) WOW... I am so happy... has anyone else gotten one w/out an email???

I had placed an order through Amazon.com for a t-flash card on 8/4 and it said that it would not ship until October 12!! Today I checked my order status and it says shipping soon and they have charged my account. It is on a first come first serve basis so if you placed your order on or near that date, you might want to check your order status. Just a heads up.

OK I am not complaining, BUT.. got my Free Bluetooth item, and I chose the wireless speaker, it came but all you get is the speaker and the book, well, I guess a case came w/it where you could hook it to your car visor. I called MOTOROLA and got someone who put me on hold like 4 times and said that w/promotion you don't get the "STUFF" that comes w/it. Well I asked if I could buy it or something and she put me on hold for like 30 min came back and said it was a brand new item and they didn't sell stuff for it.. I had to get ready for work so I didn't go on, but anyone know how I can get the case????

I'm playing tool, and you know how some of their songs start without music, whether it be banter or whatnot.... ANYWAY when the bass line comes in and Danny Carey (drummer) starts playing..... WOULDN'T YOU KNOW IT, the damn volume goes down.

So, I try the opcode 15 for it.. and hey, I can hear that banter louder now... but wouldn't you know it, the volume adjusts...

Whats up everyone. I just want to thank you in advance for the all of the help you have provided me. I am new to this forum and a lot of the issues I have had my phone have been brought up here and thanks to you a great deal of them have been answered.

I have had some trouble searching for this in the forum so if it has been addressed in the past I apologize.

I am expecting to receive my transflash card on wed. and I have a couple of questions.

1) Will I need to format the card through the phone or the computer?

2) Is there a program I need to download to view the images/videos that I have transfered onto my computer?

I have done many searches on this topic and people say you an do this by using dvdshrink or nokia converter. I have both programs, but does anyone have a step by step guide on how to do this? What type of file do you convert the DVD to before the 3gpp format?

I was under the impression that you could take pictures on this phone, and it would be stored on a card. like a flash card, like sdram's, I have learned this is NOT possible. However is it at all possible to transfer a picture you take on the phone to your computer? without sending it from your phone to your email? With my old Kyrocera they had a data link, any such possibles with this?

It would appear the manual does not agree with operation of the unit so I ask:

Which profile does the 710 support, "Hands Free Profile" or "Headset Profile"

If you run down the list on pg 15-16, Dial a number works like the Headset Profile, but Redial a Number works like Hands Free Profile.

Also, I cannot put a call on hold using the HS810 as implied I can in the manual.

Lastly, is there any way to stop it from answering an incoming call just from opening the boom - i.e. I want to put it on my ear THEN answer the call, but in order to do that I must open the boom first. So now I have an answered call before the headset is even on my ear and I'm talking as I'm putting it on - very frustrating. The manual implies that this can hap...

I know you can purchase them (HS 120 or SYN 8970) through motorola's website, but I would like to buy them in a store. I stopped by Verizon and ATT wirless and they didn't carry either. Do stores actually carry these items or are they available on the internet only. Thanks

now i should FINALLY be able to xfer the videos over to my phone..i'm gonna keep the usb cable too so when support eventually comes out to xfer media i'll have them both..peeps with a TF..will i be able to keep the card in full time w/o it sticking out and looking lame?

Okay. I want the v710. I don't want to pay full retail nor go to eBay. How can I get discounts. I know some of you VZW Customer Service ppl can help me out. My status is this: I've already renewed my contract for 2 years in May. My plan right now is $49.99. I want to upgrade to a plan that is $59.99 but the VZW here told me that I cannot get any discounts for doing so. I'm not sure if that's true, but can somebody tell me something that I can say that makes me sounds like Iknow what i'm talking about. I've heard about the non-commission discount but not sure what that's about.

In general, I just want this phone for a good price...can somebody help me out please.
