Motorola V710

i've tried this 3 times and it changes the format to .3gpp2

My V710 goes dark sometimes for no reason, I have my backlight set to 50 seconds, power save mode off, and it still goes dark???? HELP!!!

I recently spoke with one of the phone testers employed by Motorola. He basicly said he shouldn't say anything, but that Motorola "didn't have it together" on this phone and it's probably not going to be around long. 😢 I guess there are/were some software problems. Also the owners manual states some things that are not accurate. For instance I guess the so called "flash" is a dim LED that doesn't do anything. Verizon is currently working with Moto to resolve any possible glitches.

I have successfully installed the mobile phone tools and can see my V710. Calendar and Contacts are working fine....however, there seems to be no way to download songs, pics, etc to the Media Center. The "Multimedia" icon is not available.

Has anyone got this working or is the only way to get this accomplised is with the transflash card and a USB SD card reader?

I expect that Motorola (and others) make the paint on their phones easily scratched so that you are forced to buy a phone cover from them. Why the heck do they make a nice looking phone like the V710 and then force you to use some really crappy cell phone cover THAT'S PADDED. I'm not sure about you guys but when I drop my phone its out of my pocket, not from a third story building. Why on earth do we need padded cell phone covers. The verizon one that I got adds more than 1/4"-3/8" of an inch to the phone, makes the side buttons almost unusable, and it just plain doesnt fit right. I see on the label that it is "Lambskin." Why must they force me to line my phone with the skin of a lamb.

My phone had scratches where the 1,3,4,6,7,9,* and # keys hit the screen when I closed the clamshell. I've had the phone only 2.5 weeks. I looked at my girlfriends Sanyo and if you look at the closed clamshell you can see through the phone - it's stoppers work to keep the phone from getting scratched. The V710 has stoppers but they seem too small and dont do jack. I brought my phone to Verizon today and showed the tech. He played with thte phone for a minute and the disappered into the back for 30 minutes. He came out with a brand new phone. He told me however that this was a one shot deal. He said that all phones scratch where the keys are. I find that hard to believe. My chicks phone isnt scratched. He did give me a free Verizon cover whic...

Hey Guys.... just a question. I was looking to download a game on my phone. Is verizon so hard up for money they would charge a monthly rate to put a game on my phone...
That sucks. Is there a way to get other games on the phone? Talk about squeezing every penny out of someone.

How are the pictures taken at night? I've heard some good things and some bad things...? If it's possible can someone post a picture that was taken at night with the flash so I can see if I really want this phone. I take a lot of pictures in the club or when I go out at night...hence the night pictures! Thank you much!

Can anyone confirm if the a car and AC charger for a V60 will work on the V710?

Can someone try to anwer this for me before I buy. I would like to know if my pet peeve about my current cellphone is also present in the v710... or not. I have a Kyocera phone and the battery is almost completely drained on any analog call I make from my house (which is jjjjust on the edge of range.... Hudson Valley). Thats fine, but the problem is that if I plug it into the wall, it can still shut down from lack of juice. This is the single reason I pay 60 some odd dollars to MCI a month and dont even use half of my minutes. All I need is a phone (I dont friggin care what the hell bells and whistles it has.... um well nevermind) that will just STAY ON if I make an analog call longer than .2 ms.

Vzw does not sell the transflash card. Where can I buy one and how much do they usually run?

Does anyone know how to lock the phone into digital mode? On my old phone, in the programming menu, you could select (force mode)between normal, 1900MHz D, 800Mhz D, or AMPS(analog).

i've been trying to find somewhere how to xfer wallpaper, ringtones, etc..using the usb data cable, but unfortunately i have been unsuccessful..anyone know how to do this? i have phone tools

How do you transfer vidoes from the computer to the phone using a transflash card. Audio files work fine in MP3 format. However, videos in MP3 format do not show up on my phone. Is there something that I am not doing right?

Can someone who diligently follows the list please update me on the Firmware update and Bluetooth changes news? I am traveling and on a slow connection so searching would be pure torture. Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone know how to get your bluetooth headset to hear your MP3 files? When i played my MP3 I'm not able to hear it thru the headset, all I hear is a beeping sound. Please help

I'm new to the forum and just found out you can by moto accessories from verizon online cheaper then in the stores. How do they justify this?

I bought my v710 on 8/11 and bought the hs820 for 79.99. Now I find out verizon is selling it for 51.99 with free shipping online.

garbage like this doesn't make for happy customers !!
