Motorola V710

I am currently using a screen protector by Belkin but it doesn't look very good. I'm wondering if this is as good as it gets. Are there brands that are "Crystal Clear" once you apply them. The ones I have from Belkin definately ARE NOT. Thanks.

Can the wallpapers be animated?

I just ordered a transflash card with the adapter... now if my computer comes adapted already to use SD cards... i dont need a reader right???

2nd question is when i put the transflash card in the phone w/ mp3s... wallpapers etc... they automatically go where they need to go??? or do i have to place them where they need to go... Thanks

I had been using PST with my t720 and now i wanna use it with my 710. is there a patch out for it to recognise my phone? can someone give me instruction on how to use pst with the 710!?

Hey losers, what the HELL did you test?! We should petition for your stupid ass heads on a platter!!

How can we NOT use the speakerphone when the phone is closed when the v600 works JUST FINE?! Trying to make us buy the bluetooth speakerphone?! Please! Come on you money grubbing freaks.

You disable Bluetooth's full functionality because you don't want us getting unsolicited text messages? What? Why don't you have Motorola add a setting asking if we would like bluetooth fully functioning then? I forgot how pervasive that technology can be! There is some machine out there on every freakin block where when you walk next to it, it sends you a Bluetooth freakin text message?!? Wh...

So far I've had 3 710's and with all of them the camera is actually off center!All of my pictures come out tilted to the right.Instead of holding the phone staight up like at the 12 and 6 positions,I have to hold it at the 2 and 8.Even then the pictures dont look right.Hopefully they will have a fix for this soon.Also the phone simply powers off after about 10 minutes on the web.That lack of quality assurance is pathetic.

ive had the hs 820 headset for a while now and it's been working awesome! but yesterday i got the hs 810 for free and tried pairing it it my phone and couldnt figure out how to do it... now when i try to pair my phone with the 820 or my laptop it wont work!!! what happened?!?!

I was on the internet last night on the v710 and the screen went black then went back to the home screen!!! I've heard reports of this. Are other people here having a similar problem? Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks

I guess as we all see, the keypad scratches the screen. I have 7 scratches caused by the 1,3,4,6,7,9, and 0 keys. Looking at the phone there are two plastic stoppers to keep the screen raised over the keypad but it looks like they are too short. Looking at my girlfriends Sanyo she to has the plastic stoppers also but if you view the phone from the side you see that hers really does keep the clamshell seperated.

I guess my question is if Verizon is replacing these phones as defective when their screens scratch? Surely these plastic stoppers were put there to stop the scratchs and they arent long enough. Defect in workmanship? I think so. I'll be returning my phone for a new one. Has anyone else returned their phone for scratches caused by...

Sorry if you knew this already, but while the phone is closed if you hit the speaker phone button after you have missed a call. you can then use the volume buttons to scroll through the recent calls. and on a side note I love how hitting the send button brings up recent calls. not just recent dialed calles, but both recent dialed and recived in the same list its great.

Extended battery now available through vzw and moto. Moto is cheaper.

I can get songs onto the transflash and then i can get them to play on my phone. however, no videos want to show up when i look on my phone. I put them in the video folder on the TF card. Should i be putting it somewhere else?

Anyone notice a long shut down when the card is in the slot?

When I shut down while leaving the card inserted, the phone display will be at it's dim setting for quite a bit before going black. It simply has the MOTO logo on the main screen and Verizon Wireless plus background on the outer screen.

Should I change devices before shutting down is this anything to even worry about?

OK, as most people know, these phones' cameras are tilted... so heres my question..

Since a new light that is 12 times brighter is coming out, would it be best to wait over 3 months or so until these phones have that light standard before getting the tilted camera fixed? That way, we get a new face for it, along with a light thats 12 times brighter.

Think the warranty is for a year, no? Thoughts/suggestions...

Is this phone BETTER than the LG VX7000?

I assign a picture to an entry in the ID field in my phonebook, but yet when that individual calls the picture doesn't display.

Anybody else experiencing this? Does anyone have any suggestions for making this work?

The v600 has OBEX, how could Motorola decide no OBEX for the 710? I NEED OBEX to interface the phone with my bluetooth enabled car PC. The PC software uses OBEX to pull down the phone directory and display caller ID info on my indash screen. Sigh....
