Motorola V710

This started yesterday:

The phone has an incoming call which I answer, only it never stops ringing, even though it says the call is connected, and I can't talk to the person on the other end. Even after ending the call, the phone KEEPS on ringing. The only way I could stop it was to turn the phone off. This happens with and without the presence of the HS810. I think previous to the HS810 there was a headset attached when this happened.

Ideas? Seems like a bad phone. Not liking the idea of a refurb for my < 1 mo old phone.

Two questions
Can you play all the mp3's on the transflash card without physically having to scroll to the next track?
Can you play mp3's through a bluetooth headset?

just picked up my 250, still watching it charge.......... i thought someone said it came with a cool case????? 🙂

Ok this has been the topic of many threads, but there has been little confirmaion. There is definite confirmation that the motorola stereo headphones that are sold for the MPx200 work. That came from level 2. And the Radio Shack adapter has been found to fail in outputing stereo. To my knowlege no one has personaly confirmed that any of the 4 conductor adapters work. There is this review http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthread.php ?threadid=5690 but is kind of vague and not related to the v710. And I recived an E-mail from motorola that the 2.5mm jack is a stereo jack. But it all boils down to no definative confirmation on the 4 conductor adapters. Thanks for any help.

I finally got my transflash, buy.com came through. Having it makes a big difference in getting the functions I wanted to work. I could easily move mp3 and pic wall paper files from my pc to my phone. Plus, there is no need to rename anything to .mid this way.
I read another posting here about the size of pic needed for wallpaper and I looked at the ones posted on v710.org. Those all seem to be 80X100 pixels. This size works fine if you center the file on the V710 main screen, but if you set it to fit to screen, the pic is blurry. I am still going to try to make the pic 176 x 220 to see if that works for the full screen (another posting here recommended that size)

If I have a short ringtone made from Itunes say 15 seconds to keep song quality, how can I make it loop??? because it doesn't. It plays once and stops.

I just sent 4 MIDI files from my laptop to my V710 via the @VZXpix.com. I put all 4 files in one email.

They arrived on the phone in one message ... so I am assuming I only get charged ONE pix message for it??

CMOS image sensors are not nessesarily bad. Kodak's latest 14.5MP pro digital SLR camera uses a CMOS chip. So CMOS has advantages. I haven't done much research, but just though it was interesting fact. So there may be some hope for the camera in the firmware.

It looks like you should power down the phone when swapping the TF card. How about the SD reader/writer. Should you shut that down too. Stop the software or unplug the USB?

I know that this is first a phone, but the camera quality SUCKS! My friend with sprint and 1/3 Megapixel camera phone takes smaller, but much clearer pictures. I have my resolution set to the highest quality. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to make these photo's a little clearer? Maybe if I reduce the quality to Med. or Low?

Has anyone been able to use the V710 as a modem for the Palm Tungsten T3? If so, PLEASE share your settings. I've tried tirelessly for hours to do so...needless to say, NO LUCK thus far!!

hey i followed the tutorial on a hofo board and playing movies on the phone works great.... anybody however know how to make the bottom part with the name of the file and the circle with the play, fast foward, etc icons off so the movie is full screen????

Ok, I can get on the web using the Yahoo WAP http://wap.oa.yahoo.com/ and not have to sign up for Mobile Web. I used these steps from HowardForums to get connected:

1. in the menu, go to mobile web
2. scroll to "web sessions" and hit "ok"
3. scroll to the default web session of vzw that originally came with the phone.
4. tap the Menu button above the top scroll ( looks like a bunch of lines)
5. go to "copy entry" and hit ok
6. rename it to your liking
7. go to the renamed session hit the Menu button
8. scroll down to " edit" and hit "ok"
9. now simply scroll down to "homepage" and enter a homepage to your liking.
10. hit ok.
11. go back to web sessions find the renamed session and hit the top right button (corresponds to "launc...

ok a friend of mine has two phones ... one on Verizon and one on Cingular.

I have him in my phone as say "JIM" with the Verizon mobile listed as MOBILE, and the Cingular mobile listed as BUSINESS.

when he sends me a text message (which he does from both phones) I have no way of telling which phone it is from unless I hit reply and look at the address.

on my LG it showed his name but also showed the mobile number in the message so I knew where it was coming from.

Is there any way to make the V710 show which of his multiple numbers sent the text message?

Does anyone have the external speaker phone that can fit into your cup holder in your car and charge the phone at the same time? If so I'm having a problem when I sometimes plug the phone in all it does is make a series of hi pitched beeps and doesn't connect properly the the speaker phone. I have to unplug it a couple times to get it working. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If anyone else has had this problem please let me know.

Hello all. I recently bought the Sandisk TF Card. I was able to switch the storage device to the memory card, and I am able to save on it. I am not able to view the pictures on my memory card on my phone. I can look at the pictures saved on my phone but not my memory card. When I go to the Media Gallery and I try to select PICTURES, it will just sit at the screen and not let me enter. It wil not freeze but it wont let me accress it. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Un fortunatly my inside screen has been broken (long story)

the phone still works but i need a way to get the old files pics phone #s and mp3's onto my new phone.

Those dicks at verizon offered to do ONLY the phone #s for $10 but nothin else.

Is there a way to get files off on to a computer. i have a trans flash card but i cannot see the inner screen

I need a full car kit for the V710. Verizon says that they sell the Moto BT kit, but I am wondering how I can charge the phone. Is there some kind of cradle I can purchase? Will it charge the phone, or will I still have to connect a car cigarette lighter charger (booooo)? I know some of the other bluetooth phones have a phone cradle that are made for them, so there's still a secure place to store the phone and view what's happening with it.

what is the point of the emotion pics that come with the phone?? you can't even send them in picture messages?!
