D@mn, people.

All of you fall for the same sh*t over and over again. It's getting to be quite sad.

Let me help you out,

if someone says "The v710 failed testing again" DON'T BITE!

if someone says "The v710 is scrapped" DON'T BITE!

if someone says "The v710 is on the VZW website" DON'T BITE!

That last one you've all fallen for about 10 times the last month. Believe me, you'll know when it's released and it WON'T be in July. The information travels much more fluently that when it's ONLY one person telling you something. 🙄

NOOOOOoooooooo!!!

Been lurking both HoFo and here for almost 3 months now, and I really was beginning to believe that the time was near until I just read the well respected "VZW Employee" post the following on HoFo:

I found a nice little document today with some 710 info... it said "Motorola V710 has been placed on hold as of 7/7/04 waiting for launch" Im not really sure what this means besides that it has been put on hold. I also found another document indicating numerous software issues with the 710.

re VZW EMPLOYEE's post on hofo

when people post about software issues or tests, no one believes them But now, VZW EMPLOYEE (the most respected poster on hofo) says numerous sofware problems. And the phone on hold? So what do u all think that means coming from him???

Bad News for Verizon

Sprint First With Megapixel Camera Phone

Thursday, 9:29 AM source: Sprint

Sprint today announced availability of the Audiovox PM-8920, the first megapixel-resolution camera phone released in the United States. The 1.3 megapixel camera is complemented by an LED flash and a macro switch for close-up shots. Dual TFT displays each support 260,000 colors. The PM-8920 is manufactured by Curitel, distributed by Audiovox, and branded by Sprint. The phone is available now for $150 after rebates

With This phone available and being similar to the 710. Verizon may lose a few customers, do to the fact of the 710 not being release yet.

What about zip code 99999?

I'm incredibly thrilled to hear that the v710 is finally on infomanager...or the "other side" of infomanager...however I was just wondering...what about the zip code 99999...since I don't work for VZW that's the closest I can get to seeing the v710 before release...anyway...my question was does the v710 "NEED" to be on zip code 99999, or can it simply skip that part? And how long is it usually before a phone is released that has just been put on th "other side" of infomanager?

Can't wait...thanks for the info...peace all!! 😎

Question for the VZW Salesmen (and women)

What is the cost of the VX4500 (or VX3200) without a new contract? do you get the $50 rebate without a contract?

this seems to be the only phone worth buying but its not good enough to have VZ lock me up for another 2 years.

i need to replace my 3 yr old timeport 270c. a good speakerphone is a must and would love bluethooth (but even though its a feature on every phone that has been released on every other major carrier in the last year verizon doesn't see the need.)

been searching on ebay for another 270c which is what i will probably end up doing. will not let verizone tie me up until they make a commitment to the power user by offering more feature rich phones.

Vanity Fair Ad...

In this months issue of Vanity Fair (Reagan on the cover) there is a slick ad for the V710. Don't know what this means, but could be that Moto is releasing it soon???

As Always

Things haven't changed around here in a LONG time. As always there are plenty of seemingly conflicting reports as to the release date.

Some seem to indicate it could be any day ... some indicate it's on hold indefinitely.

All we can do is wait for an official announcement from VZW ... or better yet ... wait til we see it on the VZW website and in stores. Then we'll know for sure.

In the mean time ... let's try not get all stressed or excited one way or the other based on the vague reports we're getting.

It'll be here when it's here. And after that we can all play with our new toys!!
