Motorola V710

I work in the wireless department at Circuit City and today, recived a new planogram(tells us where to put merchandise) for the cell phones. The V710 is listed on there as one of our new phones. In my experience with planograms, when there is new merchandise listed, it takes anywhere from a day to about three weeks before we see it in the store. Just another sign.

I work in ICS at verizon and I was told yesterday that the V710 had failed it's latest testing and that it's release has been pushed back indefinitely. I think, although just the impression I recieved, that they've pretty much given up on it. Please don't attack me for posting this. I'm new here. Just passing on what I heard.

My v60 is just about dead and I am trying to hold out to see what the 710 looks like. I know that no one can tell me a release date, but does anyone know the next scheduled update for infomanager? If the 710 is not in there at that time, I will have to go for the 670 or the 7000.

it mostly speaks of motos delays. At the end of it, i get the impression that this ad campaign has been in planning for some time. The article acts like this is completely up to Verizon. I further get the impression that this phone was supposed to be out late June. I further think that the ad campaign was supposed to boost the phone POST-release. Makes sense to me. Advertisers might want someone to see that phone in the ad, and feel the need to get it right now... not feel the need to register on a website and w...

damn, the phones coming out are gonna make this thing look like a dinosaur in the next six months. stereo sound, dual 262k screens, 3 megapixel cameras, mpeg 4 media players....... it pisses me off but im gonna buy the v710 anyway.

boy, this is it!!!Moto has done evreything it could,God bless em, from a 710 movie to full page color ads in WSJ, billboards, and conferences and training and now we read posts here and hofo about full page ads in every major mag. Its all riding as in craps, cause if VZW decided in their ultimate wisdom to nix this handset, boy , moto would come up double Aces and I dont even wanna guess how many people would lose (yes that would happen)their jobs. SO moto better pray to all gods and VZW better just say boo and release the darn thing good bad or indifferent, with or without bugs, just release it.

Here's how bluetooth can contribute to getting more spam... assuming of course that the bluetooth implementation isn't restricted the way that Verizon will likely deliver the v710.

I've been Verizon's customer for 2 years already 😕 😳 , and I got really tired of the phone I own. (kyocera 2235) I had it for two years already. I don't see any reason why not change the carrier. I don't know about other verizon customers but I had many problems with Verizon's service. 👿 👿 👿 👿 👿 Even though their wireless service is supposed to be the best, my connection is not very good, and very often my phone changes from local to roaming call even if the person that calles me is from the same city as me (Boston). Also, I've had many problems with Verizon's DSL service. It really pisses me off. 👿 👿 👿 👿

Hey, anyone grab or get this weeks ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY. The V710 is on FULL SPREAD, that can only mean a good thing. The Release date has to be near for all this advertising. 😁

I was thinking about getting a v80 or v600 if this phone doesn't come out soon, I was curious to see what peoples experiences were with these phones. And yes I know these are not CDMA phones, before those of you out there try to crucify me.

I was reading about the BT Speaker and it says you can plug in earphones to make the conversation private...But isnt that the purpose of the BT Headset??? What do you do wiht the speaker.. Do you carry it with you attached to your ear or something or do you put it for example on the table and you can hear somebody talking from afar?? I totally dont get the real big difference. I still think the Headset is the best one to get. Can somebody explain?

I was reading a post in the mot 730 forum that mentioned an infrared port on the phone. I am almost positive the guy didn't know what he was typing about, but I guess I'm just an insecure when it comes to my knowlege of the V710.

My brother is one of the top sales reps in the NY zone for verizon wireless. He told me that he asked the technicians in the back about the v710, and yesterday they told both of us that the v710 failed its test. To be honest, ever since the startac, every motorola thats been coming out has been failing, or has some kind of bugs. I have the t722i with t-mobile i call it "trash mobile" and the fone is junk. I will soon transfer to verizon by august 1st. I really want the audiovox 9900, but i don't know whats up with that fone. i have a t720 now... can i buy the vx7000, return it if i dont like it within 15 days, then go back to the t720 and still be eligible for the v710 when it comes out?

look i noticed that first thing everyone does when someone posts up info is trash them. who the hell are u to trash someone u dont kno? Listen if you think that I am lying, or you don't "buy" it ...good for you! Not all verizon stores are the same stupid, some rooms are in the back some in the front! This fone is going to be garbage..and don't tell me that v60's are good, b/c two members of my family have the v60s, and they both wanna get rid of em! It turns off on em...the bars fail at points...im not trashing the v710, b/c i actually loved this fone, but once i saw the dimension of it, and i hear its failing little tests...if it does come out anytime soon, u will hear fast complaints, if they keep on testing to make it good...wait a month ...

I come up for "new every two" on august 10th. If the phone is released within 15days of Aug, 10 can I get the phone and get a price adjustment on the 10th? 😕 or will that not work, because I'm not choosing a different phone? I want a fighting chance the bluetooth headset promotion. I wonder how long after the release they will put up the registration page.

I kind of find it funny that everyone on this forum wants this phone sooooo badly, but most haven't even seen one in person, none the less held one. How can you make a decision without even seeing it? I really really want this phone, but my friend asked me "How do you know you want it so badly if you've never even seen it, it might be a piece of crap!" And it got me thinking...... So all of you can ponder this while you sip your coffee tommorow morning. PLEASE remeber that I love this phone so much, I don't want to get flamed, im just posting an honest opinion. Post your two cents back!
