Is paying this much for a phone worth it with the new system updates Cingular has planned to come out with, I.E. push to talk, their new web service, and any others...?

🙂 just spoke with headquarters the phones are being sent today and tomorrow. I am leaving sunday to go out of town. I sure hope that mine is going out today for 2 day shipment for delivery on saturday.

Bought and downloaded the new Colin McRae Rally 2005 game yesterday and played it for about an hour and a half. That plus using Bluetooth for about 20 minutes was enough to almost completely drain my battery. ☹️

Fun game, btw. We've been arguing about it here at work, though, trying to decide whether or not it is actually 3D or just faking it. (I.e. is it using the built-in 3D engine or not.)

I hadn't tried out the video quality from the camera until today. It's adequate but I noticed the audio is barely there. That sucks.

does anyone know where i can download some movies straight to my mem stick? i dont realy have the time or equipment to rip it myself.

I have several questions for phone gurus:

1. Is this phone conference call capable?
2. Can you switch to speaker or hands free during the call?
3. Can you take pictures during the call (provided you are on speaker or hands free)?
4. Can you turn off power to the “phone part” and continue use “camera part”? (Let say aboard the airplane)
5. Can you watch movies on this phone and in what format?

I registered w/ Adecco (employment agency) last week. Yesterday, I went on an interview @ a local "Keystone Automotive". I got a phone call as I was getting ready for work & found out that I got the job. Keystone is a nationwide co that distributes auto parts mainly to body shops. I'll have a desk job - general cs duties & AR/AP (which I have experience in from prev. jobs). I think I'll be a lot happier there - it reminds me a lot of the last job I had before I moved out of CA last fall. I'll have M-F 8a-5p hrs again. "Back to normal" I think 🙂

😢 , well i got out of my car today, and i had my phone in my ice-30 case...and the case came loose (like always) and it fell. Now i have a scratch on the very top of the phone (screen), all because of this case. Do you guys know if se has a repair place where they will fix this damage to this phone????? 😢 😢 😢 😢

Ok I am seriously thinking about getting this phone, i am in desperate need of an upgrade (nokia 8265). I love this phone so on to the q's to see if its worth it. I have a friend that works in Cingular HQ and he as well as many people on here say operation is slow...does sony ericsson usually put out a firmware update for the public to update their phones or will we have to bring them in?

Lastly, can you use a larger than 32mb memory stick iduo n the phone, say a 256 or a 512? Thanks for the helps guys...great site!

in case there is any interest, and as I remember there was, I've had this headset about a week and it works great with the phone. Excellent battery life and the caller ID is kick ass.

I noticed this phone is a bit faulty...
When I browse through the phone book and the # that shows up underneath the name is not the correct # for that person.. When I decide to call that person then the correct # shows up... I wanted to know if others are experiencing the same problems... I wonder y the correct # doesn't show up while I am browsing my phone book... Sometimes It comes up w/ a # that starts w/ 773 instead of the dialed # which starts off as 610
