as soon as you get your contest phone post it so we know when to expect.

My gmail locks up the phone, if anyoen has gotten that wo work plesae tell me.

I can access my corperate imap(exchange)... however not my corperate smtp(its not accessibe from the outside)

It appears this phone does not support smtp authentication. At least you cannot send mail from an account with a different username/password because there is no place to put a username/password for sending, the phone must assume you are sending and receiveing from teh same account, which I am not.

Is there a way to set outgoing mail to use a different account the receiving e-mail?

Does anyone have any e-mail working on this phone yet? If so who is your provider, and what are your settings.

Also does anyone have settings for the mycingula...

man.. how do I enter a url.. I can't even get to the reqwireless/wap site. I saw something about creating a shortcut to enter a specific url in a past thread, but shortcut to where??? late.

Well... I have had the phone since wednesday and I can say that is has a ton of potential.

I think that just about all the pieces are there, they just need to simplify and tighten up the code.

The interface really is slow - if you turn on the key beeps it cannot even keep up.

Also the Bluetooth should have an auto on feature like other phones. Maybe as a third option.

And the user guide needs more specific information regarding syncronization and the such.

Heu guys, I've tried to set up my voice dial to call my voicemail, but whenever I use voice dial to call it I get a busy signal. If I dial the same exact number I get thorough. It just doesn't seem to vork with the voice dial option. Anyone have similar problems?

off topic lol but someone posted the new hot phones SE is anouncing.. well for anyone at cingular they can look as cool as they want kuz we aint getting them for cingular.. remember the contract cingular has with nokia.. nokia is the soul candy bar phone provider.. so i would think a non corp store or 3rd party i guess.. that kinda sucks

I got my phone and love it so far. The only thing that I've tried that I don't like so far is that cord that's supposed to be able to attach at the bottom of the phone. Has anyone else had trouble attaching it? It's too short to loop through.

MAYBE instead of waiting to get the S710a, I'm thinking maybe I should wait until Cingular rolls out with the UMTS/WCDMA, and get one of those phones which will be capable with it. It's not all that too far off from being rolled out... What do you guys think? (Pyro, Joel, Disciple)

I posted last night about a camera glitch I had on the phone. Well I called customer service and they transfered me off to the sales people that handle warranty or something. The guy was super cool, wanted to know about my phone etc...but the problem obviously couldn't be fixed over the phone so he advised me to go to one of my local cingular stores to see if they could catch what the problem was.

Here is where the problem began...

I walk into the store and I tell the cingular guy my problem and show him my phone. As soon as I whip the thing out, the guy is this ball of animosity towards me/and or the phone. He says he doesn't know why people buy camera phones expecting digital camera type resolution. If I wanted a camera, I sho...
