Sony Ericsson S710a

I know it's Cingular Branded but Did anyone try using a T-mobile SIM in it?- If yes, let us know what happened. Thanx for da input guys, 😉

The S710a is available through Sony Ericsson's E-Shop now, but you HAVE to buy it with a Cingular plan, you can't just buy the phone. That's pretty dumb I think.

Alright, I'm sitting at work, bored out of my ass, haven't sold sh*t, hungover, it's my Friday, and I still have 3 hours left. I just thought that I would write to y'all and let you know that, unlike gih311, I am PATIENTLY waitin for my "prize" phone.After all, I;m getting it for FRE!!!! I am glad that all the "bugs" are getting brought up in here, so I know how to troubleshoot them if need be. I am happy that you're all pleased with the phone, it's an exceptional piece of equipment in my opinion, and kicks the sh*t out thay weak-ass RAZR I had for less than a week. does anyone know if this phone will sync with iSync in Mac OS X?

Okay, so, I'm driving down I-90 minding my own business going to pick up my friend from Union Station who was coming in from New York. So, I'm driving when alluva sudden some guy in the far left lane flys into the middle lane, over shoots the landing, slams/side swipes my car, putting me into the median at 75 mph. Sound good? Doesnt end there. My car slides side way down the highway and gets nailed again by a huge ass UHAUL truck.

Now, I'm grateful I came out with only bumps, bruises, a broken leg, broken collar bone and two fractured vertibre. All thanks to the assh*le who doesn't know how to switch lanes like a normal human being.

But it's good to be back! 😁 I don't have an S710 yet though, it's sort of on hold due to unexpec...

I keep getting "The Syncronization with S710a failed. General OBEX error"

I am trying to sync with Outlook which has a connection to an exchange server.

Anyone been able to do this? What software did you use?

Has anyone gotten the s710a to connect to your computer and gotten EDGE data speeds from it? I used the Sony Mobile Networking Wizard and it wont connect. The settings i used are

username: [email protected]
password: CINGULAR1
apn: wap.cingular
CID: 01

any suggestions?
when I had the v551 i got it to work and it was cool so I cannot wait to get the s710a to work.

How do I go to a specific URL? The manual says there should be a spot to enter it but it does not exist.

$$ is tight right now and there is no way I'll be able to afford the bluetooth headset I want for this phone until maybe mid to late march. My question is, how is the stereo headset that comes with the phone? Name of the headset? I know it doubles as a handsfree but how is the sound quality?

This seems like a pretty obvious question, but I haven't made it to a store to see the phone in person. Do you have to open the phone to answer calls or can you talk when the phone is closed still?

Remote control of desktop/media player is awesome. Works for XP, not ME.

I have a couple of question before i get this phone. theres no wrong answer to them cause i'll still get the phone i jus want to know if it has any specs dat i will reallllly like. now this go's out to the people who have it or has actually used it before.

1. Can the Speaker option work with the phone close, ya know when your talking.
2. can u assign voice recordings as ringtones?
3.can u set a video as your screensaver or wallpaper.
4.can any animtated picture be used as a animated wallpaper, ya know like a Gif or something like that.
5.can u lock and secure your pictures or text messages and keep people from going in them?
6. o and is moble tv available for the phone yet and have u streamed any videos on it or anything?
