1) can someone explain how to use your phone as a modem to connect to the internet with edge on a laptop using BT?

2) I understand that you need to have a media package..I'm not sure how much i need. Assuming I'm not going to be downloading large files, just doing basic surfing..whats safe?

So I have been playing around with videos on our awesome phone and I have a question for the more technically minded of you...According to the developers guide on the Sony-Ericsson website,
the phone only supports QCIF (176*144) size videos (and one size smaller). Now this seems a shame seeing as the phone has a large beautiful QVGA (320x240) screen. Would it be possible to write a java program to play larger videos since our phone does not natively support larger videos? It seems like there should be a way to write a media player program that has functionalities like rewind, or fast forward along with the play, pause and stop functions that the s710a supports. Any ideas, solutions?

se accessories order line??

I'm trying to get put songs on the phone using the memory card from my computer but for some reason i don't get the option to play the songs when i insert the memory card in the phone. Please any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

any cingular rsc's receive their contest phones yet? the rules state that we should have them by march 23rd.

I want to take some videos on my mac and convert to 3gp to play on my phone. Also does the memory card reader work with mac? I haven't received my phone yet. Thanks.

Don't know if you all have played with the phone enough, but just in case you were wondering...whether you are NT or MAC, you can transfer full length movies to this phone. Using Mac (which I use) 3 full legnth movies can fit on a single 128 card.

For some reason, the people in the Cingular forum think it's either funny to follow God, or to have some type of religion period! I see this phone on Amazon and it seems that all contracts are for 2yrs. But 1yr-contract is ok for rebate according Amazon's policy. So anybody know if Amazon sell 1yr contract of Cingular?

I can't connect using bluetooth to my sony ericsson headset(HBS-60). I have made my phone visible, turned it on and tries to add a new device; i got the message "No device found"

both devices (the phone and the head set) are within 1 to 2 feet away from eachother with no interference whatsoever....your comments are greatly appreciated. just so u know I tried to connect to my brothers bluetooth headset and still unable to!!!!!

Wow, what a journey we've had waiting on this dang blasted phone to come out! I see many of you have made it to the other side, and purchased the SE S710a. Thank Him for blessing you with the extra funds to purchase a new toy! I, on the other hand, did not have the extra funds to purchase the phone...well, actually I did, but the money can be spent better somewhere else. I went from the Moto v400 to the Nokia 6620. I'm crazy about the phone! Great themes, a nice camera (especially considering it's not a 1.3 mp), fits well in my hand...well, it's a great alternative!

I'm still a member of phonescoop, so this isn't exactly goodbye. Just wanted to let you all know that ALL of you are in my prayers, and...
