AT&T had just released UMTS in limited areas when Cingular took over. I know it was in Seattle. AT&T had 1 phone that could use UMTS. It was the Motorolla A845. I owned it for a few weeks. It had very good streaming video, but I returned the phone because it was too big and ugly. ☹️

how to i get to file manager to move an mp3 to the phone??? thanks for the help

i tried searchin but couldnt find the thread i found the other day that listed a good mp3 editor...anyone know one? got my 710 today and need to add some ringers

Does anyone have or know where to get some new apps. Is FE Explorer supported by the SE OS? Or an Opera Browser, or any browser that fits to screen? I hate the reqwireless one. I've looked but can't find, but I'm pretty lame with this kinda stuff. late.

Anyone convert videos (.mpgs mostly) on their mac and play them back on their S710. I can't get any audio from mine. Also how well does this phone if at all work with isync. Thanks! 😳

Has anyone received their phones before the March 11th date that Cingular gave? I read that someone received theirs on Saturday.....

I got mine new for $35 with the Mem. adaptor (...pointless since it's incl. with the phone). ALSO>>> I emailed Westongue to have them send pics of their Holster WITH the phone in it. I used quicktime pro to convert some .mpg files to 3gp for playback on my S710. The audio disappears. It says no audio track, but the original file has an audio track. HELP!!!

I am going to be buying either the Motorola Razr V3 or the s710. RF capability is probably the most important factor to me. Does anyone know how the s710 compares to the Razr in this regard? The other features seem superior, but reception is really the deal breaker for me. Thanks.

How much are you going to put up your S710a on eBay for?

A trucker that's been on the road for several weeks decided to go the red light district and to a bordello. He throws down $500 and says, "Give me the fattest, ugliest chick you got and a chicken sandwhich with stale bread!". Since today is a fairly slow sunday at work I was browsing the in'nernet looking for sites with themes for my eagerly awaited new toy (getting an audiovox smt 5600 next week also!) I had a thought pop into my head. 'Are they going to send us cingular branded phones? Will a cingular branded s710 work with my ATT sim?' My employee rate plan is still blue and I still use the ATT sim for my phone. So I sent an email to program headquarters and here is the reply I got

"We are currently discussing this with Cingular, will let you know."

I hope there isn't going to be a delay for us old blue reps to receive the phones. If they are cingular branded I allready have in order getting the phone flashed with the lattest sony ericsson unbr...

It is frustrating that the Sony Ericsson software doesn't work, because that would allow me to initiate and complete a sync from the phone, but if you initiate the pairing and the sync from your computer (WinXP SP2 in my case) you can sync without any real problems.

I just used the OBEX sync profile and it seemed to do Contacts and Calendar automatically.

So when are we gonna get our prize phones? ☹️

God I'm bored today, store is dead today...

This lady just came in with her z500 that has a crack through the hinge. This is the 32nd day (there is a 30-day return period). She says that the phone cracked all by itself while it was sitting on the table. Further, she "heard it crack". Supposedly no one was touching it. She tried to bring it back to me last night & I wouldn't take it. Today, the crack was larger. She told me that it got bigger overnight. 👿

I wouldn't let her return it if it was the 2nd day, let alone 32nd, considering the physical damage. I can't believe that she expects me to believe that this happened all by itself while sitting on her kitchen table.

When I connect my laptop to the internet through my phone via Bluetooth, it tells me that im connected at 115,200 bps. What does this translate into kb/s, if at all? Thanks in advance.

i'm using the mpegable x4 live software to convert videos. only problem is, the video is running considerably slower than the audio when i play it on my phone. the audio is playing at the correct rate, but the video is lagging behind and choppy. any ideas? i sure there is a setting i should adjust but can't seem to find it. thanks!
