Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

I talked to a Verizon Customer Care Representative today they said the E815 is finally logged in their system and can be released anytime within the 90 days it was originally logged in which it was logged in about a week ago i believe. Also he said all of IL, OH, and MI have V-CAST Service I don't know how true that is but thats what i am told just thought i would pass that along.

This is my first posting to this message board and I want to say thank you to all of you who share your information and knowledge here. I have been waiting for this phone as well and I would have been going crazy if not for the updates and bits of info posted here. Please know that what you do and know is greatly appreciated. That, and some of y'all are funny as hell! 🤣

Does anyone here have any information of when the Samsung a970 is coming out and how it will compare to the Moto E815? For those who haven't seen it here's a link with lots of photos:

A while ago, Maroot6 posted a link below that showed the e815 on a list of compatible phones. The samsung a970 is also on that list so I was wondering if it was going to be released at the same time? I have been waiting eagerly for the e815 but this phone looks amazing.

What does everyone thing?

What should sway my opinion towards the e815 other than a possibly earlier release date?

First off I am an existing AT&T/Cingular customer. I think that AT&T's service was really good but when Cingular took over my service went down the drain. I am on the GSM $99 unlimited plan so I am going to keep my account with them for a while. I currently have the V600 phone and it's a great phone but Cingular's service sucks. I am a computer consultant and I need my phone to work because I need to be available to my clients at all times. That's why I am going to get another phone with another carrier and I hear that Verizon has the best coverage. This way if one phone doesn't have service the other one likely will.

Are the menus on the 815 the same as the v710?

When will this be for sale at RadioShack ?
Should be BEFORE July 5, right?

i am an indirect agent for verizon and my wholesale just sent me an email saying:

"Agents,
Currently Verizon Wireless has the V710 on backorder. This is due to the growing popularity of this multi-purpose phone. We will inform you when the V710 is being shipped again and we have them in stock."

so i donno? maybe they're lieing just to get us to buy it or maybe they got the wrong info or maybe i donno what the hell im talking about.. what do u guys think?

Has anyone seen an online manual for the e815. Found one for the 8100 and 710.

at the other day a man told me that it would be coming out in early july and showed my the dummy phone.

🤣 🤣 🤣 I was really leaning toward the 8100. I have never had a MOTO phone and hearing a lot of negs. Is the speakerphone really that low?

🤣 🤣 🤣 At circuit city i asked a woman if she had heard anything about a new phone and she said that yes, its just like the v710 except it has V-CAST and then she pulled out the e815 dummy phone! She said arout early July around the 7th or 8th, i was so excited, she said it would come out witha smart phone(Samsung sch-a730)AWESOME RIGHT!!

is there going to be any samsungs even decently comparible to the 815 anytime soon?

I plan on buying the E815, I understand verizon is going to cripple the bluetooth, so we cant transfer anything. But, Can you still use isync? Or is there anyway to get any hack software to transfer my mp3's. The most important feature that I want to do is :

1. To be able to transfer my contacts from my address book
2. Transfer my mp3 ringtones and pictures.

Any info will be greatly appreciated !

I think its better just to make a list of the features this phone will have. Looks like they have crippled this thing worse then my v710. (big surprise i guess) so it will just be a camera phone with bluetooth headset and evdo. Is that what im going to pay 300 bucks for..really guys this sucks..No DUN...OMG

Damn verizon and their steller network! I wish another service provider would step up to match verizons network. Small rant. Its still going to be a cool phone, just cant believe they have managed to cripple it more.

Any recommendations on where to buy the e815 (when it's released obviously) without a rate plan? Since there is limited cell phone availability in my area, I was looking for a website where I could get it, hopefully for the $299 with no tax & free shipping.
