Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

After telling off one rep, and informing another, I socially engineered a person to tell me some information. They are not, apparently, supposed to release any information about the e815 until the release date ... But, they did receive the shipments today; I just couldn't get the stock information tho 😎 They are being snotty about it when I called all of them.

I'm sure this hasn't been asked yet, but anyone know if this phone has landed yet?

What ever happened to Radio Shack suppose to be getting this phone first before any actual Verizon store does. Did Motorola change their deal with Radio Shack like they have been changing a lot of deals. This is really good business for Verizon booths in Circuit City and Circuit City. Because i know they don't do a whole lot of business there from what their reps say like a booth in the mall or a store/service center would.

I finally get my first NE2 and i was wondering how it all works. do i just get the two year price or do i get that plus $100 off the phone. or full retail with $100 off. and if i get the $100 of is it instant or do i have to send in for a rebate.

Hello, I will be upgrading from a T720 and one thing I really hated about this phone was the lack of an alarm. When I wanted an alarm event I would have to set a calendar event. Is it the same with this phone, or does it actually have a dedicated alarm feature ?

The whole problem is you would wake up to a ringtone, but it wouldn't loop, so if it was a 3 second ring, then that was it, it wouldn't repeat !

I know it sounds kinda stupid, but an alarm could be a make or break feature of this phone.

I have a circular for next week at circuit city and E815 listed for sale at $99.99 with 2 year contract and after $50 mail-in-rebate.

But it dont say when its available.

Just called a local Circuit City and asked if they had any info about the E815. Rep. said they had them in stock and will be selling on July 3. Also, I am in a NON-EVDO market and they are still selling them July 3. Guess we can scratch the rumor of availibility in a non-evdo market. (Or at least I will be getting mine with all you others!) 😁

To anyone who already has this phone. How do you get the phone to not hand up when on speakerphone so you can talk with the flip closed. I have the phone, mine hangs up whenever the flip is closed... what do you do to make it not hang up?????

I posted yesterday about getting the 815 in my store. (circuit city) I do not work for the verizon store in my circuit city, i work directly for circuit city in the tv department. A worker from the verizon store showed me a new shipment of phones though, one of which was the 815. I got a chance to play around with an actual working model, the future display i'm guessing. The verizon employee told me the phone would be coming out tomorrow, but to be honest did not sound very confident in his answer. I do not know for sure when the phone will be for sale, all I know is that our verizon store inside of the circuit city I work in, has gotten a shipment of phones that include the moto 815. sorry if i got you all excited because im not POSITIVE if you can use the speaker phone with the flip closed but some people on HOFO claim that YOU CAN!...so can anybody here confirm that...(sorry if this was posted already or soemthing) 😁

I have a basic question and I am hoping the more professional people on here can help me determine whether in fact either the 8100 or the 815 (or perhaps a lesser phone) is what I am looking for:

My analogy: I would love a 911 but perhaps I only need a Boxster! I don't really care about Streaming Video and while having a nice camera would be nice my main interest in a phone is: latest technology (including Bluetooth); great reception and great sound (with both the ear speaker as well as speaker phone), sufficient memory to download rings (I don't care about MP3 downloads) and convenience in a light small phone.

We will be new Verizon customers but I am going to wait a month (before purchasing) to see the reviews on the 8100 and 815 - ...

I just spoke with a friend at my local Verizon store here in L.A. and she said that they are expecting to get the phones in tomorrow or Tuesday. The release date ahs changed on her computer to the 6th of July, and no price as of yet...

Called around for the E815 in my area of Michigan today and all i got where a bunch of we don't know when this phone is coming out so i think someone left us a line yesterday of this phone coming out.

we just got 20 e815's in my store in the northeast! opened one up to try it out today. a few really logical changes from the 710. mainly the keypad. the keys are shaped more logically and they enlarged the "ok" so it's easier to hit. picture quality is a very small upgrade from the 710. barely noticeable. i really like the finish also. i don't think it will show smudges as much as the 710. also got in the samsung i730 which looks pretty sweet also. by the way, i did see confirmation that circuit city will be releasing them on sunday the 3rd. never seen them do this before. i guess it's because they send out those huge fliers in the sunday paper. not sure if they'll really have any in stock though. they just showed up in the warehouses yeste...
