The Instinct Software update is now available

Sprint has just released the new software for the Samsung Instinct.
What you need to do is grab your phone and go to “Main,” -> “Setting,”->â € General,”-> And “Update Software.” After this it will auto update itself.

Hopefully this will fix the issue with the Voicemail, Internet, Signal Strength, and Video.

Qchat - Iden

I just changed to Sprints Qchat phone from Nextel Iden and I just wanted to say that I really like it and I think it is just as fast and maybe faster then Iden. I live in Indianapolis and it works grate.. had a little trouble getting it set up because the store said that I could not keep my DC# that I had with Nextel but after I left the store I called CS and they changed it for me. So now I have my old DC# and it is working really good. I know that DC is not for everyone but for the people that use it Qchat is really nice and works grate

Sprint loses early termination lawsuit, ordered to pay $73M -- but it's not over yet

Man, Sprint just can't catch a break lately -- the beleaguered wireless carrier was just told that it would have to pay some $73M in refunds to customers for improperly charging early-termination feeds. The ruling, from a California state court, will basically set off a flood of similar cases if it stands -- but Sprint still has two weeks to respond to the ruling before Judge Bonnie Sabraw, and you can bet Yellow Swoosh will appeal if it loses in the end. Interestingly, Verizon was facing a similar lawsuit earlier this year and chose to quickly settle -- a lesson Sprint, with far less revenue and shrinking profits might do well to learn from.

Touch Or Instinct ?

Just would like to get your thoughts on which phone you feel would be the best buy? I use a phone for music, basic calendar appointments and gmail / yahoo plus some web browsing mostly news sites and sports sites.

Slydial: Straight to Voicemail everytime!

Just found out about this great new service and decided to pay if foward. Slydial is a service that allows the caller to go straight to VM without having to talk to the person they were calling. No more games or rolling of the dice when it comes to trying to hit the voicemail jackpot. Dail (267)759-3425 and you will be prompted to enter in the number you are calling. After listening to a 15 second advertisment it will dail the number and go right to the voicemail. Your number will show up as a missed call on the phone of the person you were calling.

Sprint Coverage In Montana?

So, I know that sprint holds licenses in MT, and leases them out to Alltel in agreeance to not be a competitor in the area. I'm moving to montana soon and have a Sammy A900 which won't let me use data while i'm roaming. I'm wondering if since sprint owns the licenses, but just doesn't sell service, if it will show up to my phone as native sprint data or not. Also, I'm wondering what will happen now that Verizon is being sold through Qwest, and owns Alltel. Will Sprint start selling service? Thanks!

My "little" complaints about Instinct

I must say I freakin love the Instinct. Honestly, I go through about 20 phones a year and have wasted hundreds of dollars buying phones at full price, because I never can find one I really truly like. I have used every phone that Sprint/Nextel has sold over the past two years. Finally the Instinct comes along, and I'm happy. I owned the first generation iPhone last year but returned it, and just sold my LG Dare two weeks ago, because I wasn't a touch screen fan at all. The Instinct is different, it's awesome basically. But, I still have a couple of complaints, and I don't know if I'm just dumb, or if these really are things you can't do with the Instinct. You can't select multiple contacts at one time to send one text message. You ha...

Worst Possible Customer Care! I Left Sprint After 3 Years!

Up until recently I had been with Sprint for 3 years. I was also with Nextel for several months before they became part of Sprint. Sprint once had in my opining the best service. The Customer Care always seem to have a few issues, but I dealt with it because the overall service was great. In the past 2 years their service has gone to ****. No matter what phone I had, the service just kept getting worse. But overall their service still has many PROS, but their biggest CON is their Customer Care. From my understanding, Sprint outsourcing all of their Customer Care. Some care reps work in the USA through a company called TAG (The Answer Group). I used to live down the street from one of their large warehouse-type buildings. TAG on its own is h...

PRL update question

I know, I know, it won't help with local calling. She has no problem with dropped calls. In fact, the only thing she has a problem with is that her phone may only ring once and then go to voice mail, yet the person calling her (me, friends) heard it ring about six times, while she only heard it once. I do not expect a PRL update to change that problem.

My wife has Sprint on a Nokia 3588i with service that started in September 2004. Her PRL is 10028.

We live in Orange County, CA, but will be traveling soon to Texas (Fort Worth, Houston, Galveston). Maybe North Carolina next year.

First, would there be any HARM in updating the PRL and affecting service in Orange County, CA? This is a fairly heavily-populated area, so I doubt a PRL upd...
