Web chat question

Just curious, does anyone know if the Sprint Web Chat is manned by only one person. I have had Sprint a very short time and when I signed up over the net the Web chat consultant "Jessica" was absolutely horrid. I tried to ask questions and she would go completely off topic. Not to mention that when I was trying to read information she kept forcing pages for the next step to order. Now, I work for web chat for another company, and we take a good 3 chats at a time when it is busy on the website, we aren't even allowed to push pages where I work and if I acted like Jessica, I would sure be out of a job. Now, I am not trying to bash Sprint. I love the service and although CC is still a pain, I know that they are trying to improve. I am just tryi...

Good News! Update Coming to Samsung Instinct to Use Keyboard in Java Apps

Good News! Update Coming to Samsung Instinct to Use Keyboard in Java Apps like Opera Mini, Google Maps, etc. I don't beleive this update is included in the one that I previously posted about. It is probably coming after that. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

According to the latest post made in Sprint developer's forum, Sprint plans on implementing the MIDP 2.0 standards compliant UI (things like Text Entry via keyboard).

This is a great news for all Sprint Instinct users. If they can accomplish this, we will be able to use a large number of freely available Java mobile applications (such as the ones from http://www.getjar.com/) on the Instinct phone!

http://www.instinctinsight.com/comments/browseThread ... »

As with all new product launches, there are a few bug that needs to be worked out. Based on your feedback and our own testing we've been looking at a few issues and plan to release an over-the-air update for the Instinct by the end of the month.

Here are the categories of issues that the product management team has been looking at and an example of something that will be fixed. This list is not a comprehensive statement of everything that is gong to be fixed but should give you an understanding of the types of things you will see corrected.

Physical device: better volume though bluetooth headsets

Picture Mail: reduction of 'system busy' errors whe...

Jumping ship from Verizon to Sprint.. need help with something

Ok, after a long great run with Verizon for six years i may be moving to sprint because of their cheap plans and extra features at no charge. The only problem is that sprint has no service at my house. A friend of mine has sprint with no service at his house either but said he put his Upstage phone on roam mode, allowing his phone to pick up a Verizon signal. Since Verizon works fine at my house, could i do the same and purchase a sprint phone and put it to roam mode as well so it will work just fine? are there any cons with having it on roam mode? any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

NEW IDEN BB CURVE 8350

Any new news with this? Has anyone heard of a more firm release date for this new phone, or if it will even go into production at all? I am really anxious to see when this will be out for sale. Thx

BB Curve

I was wondering if the BB Curve would be able to be used on the SE 450 minutes? I've been told many different things by CS. They website says yes (like if I go in to just buy the phone as a brand new customer) but CS says I need to change my plan or add something else.

I don't need the BES feature as I do not have corporate or work email that needs to be synced to my phone. I only use yahoo.

Cell Phone As Fax Modem

We are currently in the process of getting rid of our home phone and have a question: my home computer has an all-in-one printer/scanner/fax. We occasionally use it to send or receive faxes.

Can I use my cellphone instead of my home phone to do this? Will it require I have a PAM on my account? My wife and I have Motorola ic phones. Thanks in advance! ๐Ÿ™‚

I heard somewhere that there may be updates coming out for Windows and Blackberry so they can send MMS. Any word on that? Also, does anyone know of any apps I can load to my Curve to allow MMS?

Say goodbye to your unlimited data plan!

Sprint used to have a $59.99 Mobile Broadband plan that was "unlimited" and not capped at 5GB as VZW does.

Not any more! Just as I started digging to see if I wanted to switch my data card from VZW to Sprint, they changed their plan. I can hear "You snooze, you

lose!" echoing in my head! I mostly use my VZW plan to get email pushed from my Exchange server and some browsing, but sometimes I fire up AOL Radio on a long job.

I doubt I could ever hit 5GB, but the claimed superiority of having truly unlimited data just took a hit.

From the web site describing the $59.99 plan:

"This plan includes

* Internet access on the largest national Mobile Broadband network.
* 5 GB/mo. in total or 300 MB/mo. while off-network ro...

Will a Phone Insurance Claim renew my contract?

My phone is all but dead, and I'm gonna use my insurance I've been paying on for years now and get a 'new' phone. When I get the phone and activate it, will Sprint renew my contract for 2 more years? I sure hope not! Is this stated anywhere in writing so I have proof? As you can tell, I have ZERO confidence in Sprint CS. I know they will screw me AGAIN! LOL

Thanks.

Customer Service Rep - Please Help *Return Question*

I purchased the Instinct and I must admit it's a very nice phone. It really didn't cut it for the work I do. I'm outside all the time and had a really hard time seeing my screen. Yes, I know - go in the shade - which I did all the time - lol.

Anyway I returned it to the store and purchased the Treo 800 WHICH I love too, but I really wanted the Blackberry Curve. The rep at our local store told me I'd have to purchase the Blackberry Plan to go with it. I didn't want to pay the extra $$.

Anyway I was online last night and the Sprint site says that if you have the unlimited plan $99.99 you can get the blackberry service - Is this correct - am I reading this right.

If yes, If I paid full price for the Treo 800 - can I return for...

Questions about Blackberry Curve and plan.

I recently upgraded to the curve and when I did that, I lost all of my songs that I purchased from the music store. I am still able to see them online but they don't pull up from my phone when I'm running the application. A. is there something I have to do for this to work? B. If not, is there a way to get credited back for these songs?

I also pay the $30/month for the unlim bb data which says includes the picture mail, but when I get online to log in, it tells me I have to pay the $5 or all my pics will be deleted. I've done that a couple times and I guess it's only a month subscription cause I get texts saying I'll need to do add it again.

Thanks

Treo 800 vs Mogul

I was trying to decide between the two. My main concern was getting a phone with Wifi, and these are the only two at Sprint. They are both Rev A, Win Mobile, 2 MP camera, does it come down to the form factor or are there other differences regards to speed, quality, etc...?

Why are they still making IDEN phones?

I'm really confused. I saw where Sprint will have a new RAZR like IDEN phone this year. I thought Sprint was trying to migrate all of it's customers to their network, and that the IDEN network was going to be auctioned off to someone like the government or public safety? I also thought they invented Q Chat so that their current nextel customers would migrate to strictly Sprint. I'm really confused, does anyone know what's going on?
