A few Sprint questions??

Okay, I currently have AT&T, but I'm kinda wanting Sprint again, see I had Sprint before, and loved them, they weren't bad at all, but when I had Sprint it was under my moms name, so I'm curious, how strict is Sprint's credit checks? I know I had to pay a deposit with AT&T, will I have to pay a deposit with Sprint, I know I don't have very much credit, so I figured I would. The little bit of credit I have isn't bad though, I've been a few days late on a few cellphone bills in the past but they got paid. I've ended a few contracts early(but I paid the ETF each time; which is what I'll have to do with AT&T). So how of a high deposit should I expect? Also, I heard that you can get Sprint service 30 days without being locked into an agreement to...

BB Curve, when?

I went in today and returned my Instinct. I really liked the phone but the text messaging wasn't cutting it for me. Took too long then i'm used to for texting.

Well I wanted to get the BB Curve, but they are out of stock at the store. Any idea when stores might be getting them in or if I order it thru CS or the internet will it still be backordered?

I'm on my old Samsung A920 and it's on it's last leg ☚ī¸

Thanks guys

Web Browser Icon not populating on Blackberry Curve????

I have an advantage employee line which is $45 for 1500 min unlimited text unlimited internet. I just got my Curve yesterday. For some reason the internet icon is not populating on the phone. We tried provisioning the phone multiple times. When I called employee accounts she told me that I need a blackberry plan. However the plan should come with included internet and when I ordered the line they specifically told me I was all set. Any suggestions?

One less reason to have Sprint...

Sprint's fabled SERO plan rides off into the sunset

by Chris Ziegler, posted Jul 13th 2008 at 10:36AM

A common battle cry in the carrier war heard in recent years has been "yeah, but those plans all suck compared to Sprint SERO." A little too common, in fact -- a significant fraction of subscribers signed up for the incredibly lucrative employee referral packages didn't actually know any Sprint employees -- but at $30 for several hundred voice minutes plus unlimited data and texting, that whole referral thing was an ordeal worth enduring. Well, you can kiss that sweet little deal goodbye, because SERO has been replaced with the more slickly-named "Everything Plus" package which packs basically the same features for $59.99, a healthy bu...

Turning People Away?!

Someone here yesterday posted a comment about Sprint having stricter credit requirements and this person said that they have even turned some people away I guess based on their credit??? Now I use to be a call center rep for a wireless carrier and the only reason someone was denied service is because they were under the age of 18 or they had an old account with a balance. 😕

EVERYONE please read

Ok guys... I have been here (at Phonescoop) a long time. I have been in the wireless business for damn near 10 years.... and have decided to start a little website with some info that isn't normally covered anywhere at the moment.

I am going to use my knowledge and research skills to find you the best deals on cell phones out there. These "deals" will be updated weekly. I will be covering Tmo, Att, and Sprint. We don't have Verizon where I live so no VZW stuff at the moment.

It'll probably be about a week before the site goes live....

I also intend to have some reviews of mobile programs, how to's (like getting out of contracts), and other misc stuff.

But like I said the main content will be basically broken down by carrier and...

I need someone to check ESN's for me...I will pay...easy money.

I need someone who works for Sprint or has access to Sprint's database to check ESN's for me. I need 40-50 checked a day...that is less than an hour of time to check. I will pay $.50 for each ESN that is checked...paypal, check, whatever. This is the easiest money to make...if you need a reference, the Verizon guy that checks my ESN's will be happy to tell you that I pay him around $300-$500 a month...an he always gets paid. Thanks.

Let me know if you are interested.

I LIKE SPRINT..........

OK, so alot of people complain on this board about sprint, i've had sprint for a while now and i never really had major problems, yeah there are some issues here and there, but what company doesn't have any issues. if you scroll thorugh the ATT and verizon forums, you can see the same complaints. all you trolls that come on here and bash sprint, what other company gives you all you get for so cheap. i have 750 min, unlimited data, and only pay about 50 a month. not att, certainly not verizon. verizon rips off their customers, i don't know much about att, but i can tell you they drop as much calls or more than sprint, my gf has att and she drops calls all the time. verizon charges you for everything, one of my friends has a blackberry and pay...

New Firewall

Is everyone having to click "ok" and "yes" like 6 times before getting into dara, or is just my lame computer? And how much sense is it that it takes me about 4 min from a new window until logging into SNAP or FDT?

A Question about Per Megabyte Pricing.

I did a quick search but couldn't find what I am looking for and the Sprint site is mostly firewalled.

What I want to know is, what is the charge per megabyte on the Sprint network, and what services count towards that total? Also, what plan is available to eliminate that charge?

I'm doing a comparison of how companies are charging for data, so any help would be wonderful. Thanks.

Sprint vs. VZW for data network

Rather than hijack someone else's thread like I did, I'll start my own.

Who has the fastest data network in Orange County, CA? VZW or Sprint?

I am currently on VZW for my data card (month-to-month) and cell phone. Cell phone is great, but the data card speed is low (it's an old EVDO card...and it is dying).

I want to get a USB data card, and I am trying to decide whether to stay with VZW for data or switch to Sprint. My wife has Sprint cell service with no problems here.

I tried Sprint data about six months ago here in Orange County, CA, on the Ovation U727 USB device, and it was just as slow as my VZW EVDO (not Rev A) device.

I just looked at the coverage maps that each provider has (VZW and Sprint), and I don't see why Sprin...

Stop telling people you will sell the 800w to them!!!

Yesterday, I called one of our local sprint stores about the Treo 800w...They said "Sure, come on down we have it"...I get down there, they get it IN FRONT OF ME, start to get it entered into the system, then they go into the back, come back 2-3 minutes later phone no longer with them and give me the "sorry, we can't sell it until the 13th"...

I called another local store ... Same thing...

Today I called another one, told them of the two previous stores experience, I get "naa, we can do it come on down", I get down there and THEY DID IT AGAIN!!!

I have a buddy on the east coast and a buddy in California BOTH BOUGHT IT YESTERDAY AND HAVE IT IN HAND NOW.

Looking around online on the phone sites, a bunch of people have been able to...
