to wait or not to wait

as with most cell phones nearing the 2 year mark mine is dying and in need of the good ol re-contract and phone upgrade.

I have had US Cellular for over 10 years, not because of good customer service as the ads might claim but because it really is the only carrier to have signal in my area of the boonies behind the backwoods. I travel Iowa extensively for work and most often the rural areas NOT right along the interstate, so this seems to be the company I will continue to be stuck with for now.

I have given up the dream that USC will ever offer a new original cool phone and instead offers the leftovers of the major carriers. It becomes tiresome to walk into a store having done research ahead of time only to find that they do not have...

USCC In July and the old RAZR

Based on past goings on at USCC I would say that probable new phones for July will include HTC Touch, Palm Centro, and perhaps a mid range Moto like the MOTO W755. If anyone has any thoughts on new phone for July or has inside info it would be greatly appreciated. Also, what's up with the USCC phone page's on-again-off-again relationship with the silver MOTORAZR. I have seen it go away and reappear a lot lately and I am starting to wonder whether USCC has ditched it or not.

any chance of this phone?

Moto V950 just announced. It appears to have some awesome features but I don't know if it is the type of phone USCC would adopt.
Here is my rant.. I see a lot of phones trying to be everything. What I want is a phone that is really good at just a few things the primary one is being a phone! I do think that it can have a dual purpose and still do both well. what other feature is best after being a phone- well I think the next most usefull thing is a good camera. We always have our phone with us and the next most usefull thing is to be able to take pictures or movies of events around us.. just do those two things well and you can sell all the phones you make Moto. Their recent comments on concentrating on the quality of their phones came...

wow...

I went in to U.S. Cellular yesterday and I asked the girl if they had the BB Curve in and she said "No it isn't out yet. It won't be here for a couple more weeks." and I said it is out and it is on their website already. And she said she can't wait until it is out but the only thing is she had SPRINT! 😲 in my mind I was like "Does she think I am retarded? She has a white Krzr from Sprint." Then I noticed everyone that was working in there had Sprint.

GET OVER IT!!!!

Ok, I know everyone has their opinion about everything. If you're so unhappy with USCC go somewhere else. Yeah they may not have the latest phones, but would you want a phone that actually works then be stuck with something that just came out, and have huge problems with it? I've worked for all the major companies. AT&T,Sprint, and Tmobile. By far, USCC has the best customer service. I know, I'm a agent. Instead of complaining, go try someone else out and see how it is. If you don't like our service, go somewhere else.

Ok I'm done with my rant!

Agents No More

It looks like agent locations are starting to dry up at USCC. St. Louis was taken over and now it is coming to Oklahoma.
If you work for ABS please starting looking for new employment. Roger will be the big winner of adding to his fortunes and everyone in the organization will be unemployed. Talk about employee satisfaction.

GRRRRR

Okay, so I have a ROKR Z6m, and I managed to rack up $38 in data charges for the month. When I went to easyedge to get free apps [And mobile AIM] I wasn't aware of the data charge. It didn't tell me [Unlike the W385 does], and I found out by lookig deep within the site...
It just really bothers me...

New Commercials

What does everyone think of the new commercials? I think the one where that little girls is walking with that bear is kind of freaky.

New 24.99 BB Data Plan

I was wondering if there was a limit to the data usage on the 24.99 BB data plan. I called my local usc rep to find out the earliest i could sign a new contract for a new phone. While i had her on the line i asked about it and she told me that the new plan was limited to something stupid like 4mb. On the website, however, it says "No overage charges". So whats the deal? Limited or unlimited?

Windows Mobile E-mail & Web Service

I think I have figured out a way to have the Moto Q and not have to pay the extra $24.95 for Windows Mobile E-mail & Web Service. I talked with a customer rep today who told me that if I activated a phone that I did not purchase with a contract rebate/discount, you did not have to have the service. For example...I can buy the phone off of e-bay (brand new) for around $120 and have USCC activate it on my plan without the data package. I really want a phone with QWERTY. I do not have much use for the data package at this time. I have heard not very good things about the LG UX260, and to me it seems like a cheap phone.

Questions about leaving USCC

I definitely want to leave USCC. I'm just not happy with them. I am willing to pay the 150 cancellation fee, but I have a few questions.

. How Long do I have to pay that fee? I was told I have the remainder of that contract to pay the fee? If not how do I pay it? Do they add it to the bill? Or what?

So any of you USCC reps can answer this please do so. Nothing against you guys you have amazing customer service, its just I think I'd be happier with another company. If i decide to switch again, I'd consider you all. So please answer this question. Thank you for your time.
