does verizon have a declining ETF like other carriers or is it a standard fee of $175

Well I went and did something I never do. I just went and upgraded my phone to the Blackberry Storm because my old phone wouldn't hold a charge anymore. I upgraded to the BB Storm without doing much research (I'm usually a research nut). Anyway, come to find out there might be a Storm 2 coming out in September. Anyone have more info on that, because I still have 30 days to return for a small restock fee...should I? Thanks

I'm kind of confused as to how some people, with large fingers, do not complain about the 8330 curve, but have so many complaints about the tour. I understand there is less space on the tour..but big fingers, are big finger... I just say suck it up, use a nice phone, and your fingers will learn not to hit 100 buttons at once...

Or...don't get it...and don't complain, ive never seen one phone that EVERYONE liked...

I really need to know the differences between the CURVE 8330 and the TOUR. I can upgrade now and again in December (long story) so I was really considering it. What bonuses will I get with the TOUR that I don't currently get with my curve!? Please let me know as soon as you can as my first upgrade is going to run out (again, long story!) soon!

(Before I forget I am out of contract with Verizon as of 7/1/09, and I also have a pre-paid T-Mobil phone and a Boost phone. So you see I have three different companies at the same time)

I have gone to Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint corp. stores. I have had the chance to use the Tour, Iphone, and the Pre. And I have to tell you, the Iphone was the easiest to use of the three. In case you are wondering all 4 or 5 carriers work here in Gainesville, Fl and in N. Y. So coverage was not a problem with the big three.

I can see now why people here on here are always trash mouthing AT&T on here. It's because Verizon feels threaten By the ease of which the Iphone performs. The Ip...

IS THAT THE REACTION PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR THAT WANT TO LEAVE VERIZON?

I have a Curve and I feel like it's a Windows computer that locks up once a week and I have to restart it, it's ok after the restart but it takes time right? Same with the Curve, at least once week I will take a pic and try to send it only to get "message failed to send". I have full bars and 1xEV st the time it just won't send it. If I "restart" with battery pull after a couple of minutes of waiting for it to come to life I can now send it and everything is good in Blackberry land but what a pain in the ass. So people with Tour how aften are you doing this if at all?

I have the DARE and love it but i want the get newer phone. I love my ipod touch i would love the iphone but i am not an ATT person. does verizon have something like this coming out? I am willing to wait but not sure how long. i just don't wait to get phone then iphone comes out.

I would love to get a PDA phone to store contacts and appointments but don't want to pay $30 month for a data plan (will not use email or web). The CS rep told me that I have to get a data plan if I get a PDA phone.

Therefore I was wondering if you guys can recommend the best non-PDA phone for me to transfer my Outlook contacts (with addresses) and appointments (ie closest thing to a PDA phone).

My contract is currently up right now but their is absolutely nothing I want to upgrade to. Verizon has definitley fallen in last place in the phones department are the best in service. Is there anything in the fall or next year similar to like the palm pre or anything? I am tired of consistent remakes of the voyager and enV. Enough with LG its getting too repetitive. BTW I do not want a blackberry because I don't want to pay the extra $20 per month. Thank you for your time 🙂

I have a friend thats on alltel.. she really loves her blackberry pearl. but lately the data has not been working and doesnt connect, and she has delayed voicemails. Alltel here is now verizon, she called the store and they said she can upgrade plus there giving her an extra 30 off for a phone also on top of her upgrade.

Should she upgrade to a verizon phone to not have any problems that shes having? or should she just stick it out and call tech support?
The verizon rep in the store said you have to upgrade in order to stop the problems.

She doesnt want too cause she loves her pearl and the store here only carries the flip pearl.

Anybody know how to take the number lock off the HTC Ozone? I have accidently put it on ther and cant figure out how to de activate it, cant type words or text using the letters with numbers on them.

Hey i was just wondering I dont currently have a blackberry but im thinking of buying my friends storm. My upgrade isnt until next yr. How can i get the blackberry without upgrading right now. I know i will have to add the extra 30 a month. which bv im fine with. But on the verizon side what will i have to do and will it be easy to change my phones.

My daughter recently gave up her Palm Centro for an EnV Touch. My son has a Dare with the $15 data plan, and I wanted my daughter to have the plan also. They told me it would be cheaper to go to the next plan and put us all on it, but when I tried to do that, they said because I was the "primary" and because I have a Centro, they couldn't do that (so why did they even mention this option? Strange). So I asked them to make my husband the primary and put my line on as an add on. Nope, that couldn't be done either. So I am now paying more apparently for the 2 data plans, and then I tell the rep I want to give my daughter's Centro to my brother (who doesn't want data, just a phone.) They tell me if I put anyone else on that phone he will automa...

What VZW device do you recommend for my personal line? I am getting my significant other an envtouch, because he had the lg glimmer (so manly!) but i'm a blackberry fan. NOW. This does not mean that I necessarily need another blackberry. I am getting the storm as my work phone. Was thinking about either the curve, the tour, or...idk. I don't even know if I need another smart phone, but if I went a day without it I know I would change my mind...

P.S. I am soooo excited to FINALLY be a Verizon employee yeah! 😉

I will start off with I have 2 phones a personal (startac) and a business phone (E815). I have had a few other business phones, nextel, LG, but I personally have had the best luck with these 2 phones that happen to be Moto's.

The startac is about dead, will not hold a charge for more than 3-4 minutes of calling. I have ordered countless batteries on ebay, and the issue seems to be with the phone.

I like the W755 because you can use the speaker phone with the phone closed, loud ringer, loud earpiece, These along with Reception are most important to me. I only send or receive maybe 3-5 texts a month on this phone. No data, just calls.

Every thing I read about the 755 is terrible, especially the battery. But it still rates a 4.19 here ...

I have the Omnia. I don't care for it anymore and I have discovered that I do not like how touch phones work. For this phone, I had to have a data plan.

I also don't use the data plan very much.

Do I have any options for dropping the data plan and getting a new phone other than waiting for my 2 year anniversary?

Would I have to pay to cancel my contract?

Is my only alternative to get a different phone, at full price, that does not require a data plan?

The other alternative is a phone that has actual buttons, but that would also require full price for the phone?
