Has been updated! I've noticed areas where Verizon has upgraded Alltels network to EVDO. 😁

Well I was messing around with the new BB Tour at my local Verizon store and found that the buttons on the phone were just too small for my big hangs ☹️ So it looks like I wont be getting the BB Tour when its time for me to upgrade....Anyone know if the Storm 2 is going to have actual buttons on it or is it gonna be a touch screen...I actually heard that its going to be desinged to the T-Mobile Sidekick but I dont think that's been confirmed yet.

Verizon Wireless is hosting its first Verizon Developer Community (VDC) Conference. The conference will take place in Silicon Valley on July 28th. It’s goal is to encourage development of new mobile applications for the Verizon Wireless network and its subscribers. In order to satisfy demand there will also be a webcast of presentations.

Those expected to present include executives from Verizon, Research In Motion (RIM) and Softbank Mobile among others. The conference will also include information on tools and resources, including Verizon Wireless APIs, to build applications. Once an application is completed it will then be able to be accessed by one of Verizon Wireless’ 80 million customers.

I have the LG 5500 phone with Verizon service in the Denver Metro area. Every person I call on the phone says it sounds like I'm underwater. The sound on my end is just as bad. Went to the Verizon store and they did some type of hard reset on the phone - didn't help. Went back to the Verizon store 2 days later and they replaced the phone with the same type - didn't help. When I say bad - it's so bad on my end, I couldn't tell the difference between my mom answering the phone and her voice mail.
I travel all over the Denver area and the sound never improves.
Has anyone else had this trouble? This phone has excellent reviews so I'm not sure what the trouble could be.

I just did an upgrade today from my curve to the tour! Customer service didn't make me change anything on my plan! The only feature that had to be changed was the insurance! Was this a mistake or is this something everyone can do? By the way I have the alltel mycircle 20 plan with 2 blackberry's

I am cross shopping providers and I am able to get a discount through my provider. The website requires me to enter an a company e-mail address to determine eligibility. The problem is I work for a defense contractor, so I have a government e-mail address, not one from my company. Is there any other way to find out what my company discount is?

I'd rather avoid going into a store until I have decided on who will get my buisness. I don't want to waste a saleperson's time when I am not going to give them any buisness right now.

I need to replace my wife's phone that she recently lost. She needs a reliable phone that she will use for basic calls and texting. I have been out of the regular cell phone loop since I been a BB person for a couple years. I would go to a store and look at them myself but we are on vacation in the rural country and there is not a VZW store near me and have to order a phone thru 611.

I recently picked up a Curve, mostly because I wasn't allowed to keep my Touch Pro 2 on, because it's an Alltel phone (meh, whatever). I've had it about 20 days now, and I like it, but it's not as powerful as what I'm used to.

I'm somewhat limited on budget at the moment, as we're expecting another child, so while I want a more powerful/capable handset, I'm not sure what to do, and I've only got a few days left to do it.

The Storm just dropped to 99.99, and that's a steal, but I miss my WinMo, but really don't want a non-touchscreen WinMo device, because well, most of them suck. I have no fear that HTC will break that trend, but still, I'd rather have the touchscreen for WinMo. Since the Omnia 2 and Touch Pro 2 seem pretty far out o...

I have an Verizon prepaid phone I used for 2 months, and don't need any more. (Business assignment in eastern Virginia, check out AT&T's coverage there for a good laugh.) Can I give the phone to a Verizon customer to use as a backup? If not I know I can donate or recycle it.

I this is a question for the employees. I heard a rumor of Verizon will be getting the iphone or a form of the iphone the end of this year or beginning of next. is this true or rumors. i have the Dare which is an amazing phone. but i carry my ipod touch with me to due you i use podcast. i would like to combined them. thing you have heard will help

Can anyone tell me what discounts are available for Verizon for State of Florida Employees?

I've posted previously regarding adding a line to my account, and I am still torn between the Samsung Alias 2 and the LG EnV 3. My question from any Verizon reps out there this time is, is it worth the extra money to get the Alias 2 and lose a megapixel on the camera? I really like that the Alias 2 can be used as a standard flip phone, but I also like that it has a QWERTY keyboard on it. Any input is greatly appreciated.
