Touch Pro 2

Does anyone have any prediction on when the Touch Pro 2 is coming out. I have been planning on moving to the Blackberry Tour 9630, however, this new phone looks pretty cool. I know that the Blackberry is rumored to be coming in mid July and would love to see this one come out around the same time.

This is just wrong.

The largest, for many, is the faulty reliability of AT&T's network. Owners of iPhones are quick to complain about dropped calls, poor call quality, and slow performance of the data network. Many I know carry a second phone primarily for voice calls, and more often than not that voice phone runs on the network of Verizon Wireless, which is owned by Verizon Communications (VZ) and Vodafone (VOD).

Touch Pro Firmware Update

PhoneNews is reporting that Verizon Wireless has approved a firmware update for the xv6850 Touch Pro. As promised by Verizon Wireless late last year, this firmware update will unlock the GPS on the handset, allowing owners to use Google Maps or Windows Live Search instead of the proprietary and costly VZ Navigator. The firmware update also adds Visual Voicemail support to the phone, a feature that requires a $3 monthly fee and EVRC-B codec support which improves call handling. The update is not available through Verizon Wireless or HTC yet but it is being offered early by Phone News. For those Touch Pro owners who have not already hacked their phone to unlock the GPS, hit the read link to obtain the firmware update — at your own risk o...

CNBC reports predict VZW customers port out for Pre

CNBC reported on TV on one of their talk shows that it's expected that numerous VZW and AT&T customers will be porting to Sprint with the release of the Palm Pre. They also reported that the Pre will be one of the biggest releases in the industry right up their with the release of the iPhone and iPhone 3G. It's expected that lines will form at Sprint stores hours before the stores open. Reporter stated that wireless customers do not want to wait until 2nd quarter of 2010 to get this phone on other networks and that Sprint has the best value to backup this phone's features. Also it was reported that Sprint will be getting a 2nd version of the Pre or simply a newer webOS phone around the holiday season. They stated that Palm and Sprint are not...

Bad ESN?

I did a little looking on previous posts about ESNs but I am still confused about somethings. I am currently looking for a new phone and when searching on Ebay many posts say "bad ESN". If I were to buy a a phone that said bad ESN would I still be able to use it? Does the ESN come with the phone or is it on my account. I don't think I really understand, in laymen terms, what an ESN really is. Thanks for any help!

Sprint's Palm Pre or wait?

So how many VZW subscribers are going to try Sprint's Palm Pre? 👀
Or are you going to wait for the rumored VZW branded Palm Pre? 🤨

On a side note, it seems that VZW has listened to customers complaints about locking their phones down. I think (correct me if I'm wrong) there was news that VZW is going to offer Android, now Web OS, on top of the already offered WM and BB OS's.

Bluetooth and Battery Life

I have absolutely no complaints about the great battery life using my two Lucky Goldstar (LG) enV² phones for the past year. They only require 1 to 2 charges per week.

When I purchased them, I fell for the sales pitch and also purchased Bluetooth headsets. After a day or two I decided that they weren't worth the bother of wearing them while awaiting calls, pairing them, and separately recharging them. I returned them and consider that a good decision.

While looking at my enV² menus yesterday I noticed that I had never turned the Bluetooth setting to OFF.

Since I've essentially just turned off a short range transmitter that's been on 100% of the time, I'm expecting that my battery life will be even better now. Any opinions?...
