Clarification on Upgrades

I started my account in October 2008. I am just curious what's the difference between an annual upgrade and an NE2? I know what the NE2 is, but I don't know the difference. I'm also confused because I have been told by Care that if I am signed up for myverizon then I can be eligible for an annual upgrade, however when I log in it says I'm not eligible until 2010. Can someone help me clarify, do I have to have all of my lines signed up on myverizon to be able to get an Annual upgrade, or can it just be one line? I have a family plan with 3 lines, 2 of which I have set up on myverizon. Thank you in advance!

BB Tour

Am I to believe that when the BB Tour hits the stores its not going to have Wi-Fi?

I hope VZW doesnt make the mistake of rushing this phone like they did with the BB Storm.

Can I get some thoughts?

Plan change from Alltel to Verizon

Alltel officially merges with Verizon on July 11th in my area which is conveniently 2 days before the speculated release of the Blackberry Tour. I currently have a BB 8830 on Alltel with a SmartChoice plan on my line of a 4- person family plan. Will my plan or how much I am charged be altered when I buy a Verizon device? Keep in mind that the other three lines are under contract and will not be upgrading.

PRE & the IPHONE yet verizon

lets face it has nothing to compete against these two products...don't even think about throwing the POS strom in the mix because everyone knows it's junk and can't compare to the PRE or iphone. onnce again verizon customers are left with CRAP phones that do not compete.

Has anyone ever..

Been able to talk a rep into bypassing the mail-in rebate, instead, having them give you the instant rebate as if it were an online purchase? I'm going to buy the Curve tomorrow (I know the Tour is a month away) and I'm signing up for a 1 year contract. I really don't feel like paying $240 when it's only $170 online (single year contract). So has anyone been able to do this or is this totally out of the question?

Thanks.

Most Dependable 3G & First 4G = Sprint

The Sprint CDMA and iDEN networks are now reported to be working at their best levels, and not only the company says that, but customers and third-party reports as well. According to the mobile phone carrier, this state of facts is the result of its investments in the expansion and improvement of the network performance, which toped $17 billion since 2006.

“Better network performance has been a major priority and a key part of the improvements we’ve made over the past year that have materially changed the customer experience with Sprint,” said Dan Hesse, president and chief executive officer of Sprint. “Palm Pre is the coming out party for the new Sprint – the perfect device to show how far our networks have c...

3G: Sprint #1 in download speeds; AT&T #1 in upload speeds

http://gizmodo.com/5111989/the-definitive-coast+to+c ... »

Gizmodo conducted what they're calling a "grueling" and "definitive" (they ran a few speed, pageload and file download tests at several locations in eight cities) analysis of the nation's 3G networks. According to the gadget blog, they tested Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint (sorry T-Mobile) networks using AT&T's Sierra USBConnect 881, Sprint's Sierra Wireless Compass 597 and Verizon Wireless's Novatel USB727. Sprint had the best downstream speeds overall, while AT&T came out tops in upstream speeds, dominating tests.

When will Verizon be available in Lubbock, TX (79415). We have Alltel, but Verizon is not available yet when I go to Verizon's website to order service. Any idea on when Alltel becomes Verizon in Lubbock, TX?

City ID

What's this City ID thing? Well actually I googled it so I know what it is.
But I thought it was a cool feature that VZW did, come to find out it was a trial period with the City ID app. ☹️

But I thought VZW & Sprint automatically showed the city/state when someone called you? Maybe it was just the state?

LG enV Touch

All I can say is WOW! I just got it yesterday. I usually don't give reviews within a few days of owning a device but I thought I'd at least give my first impressions. If any new reviews come up I'll post them. So far the Touch really changed my mind on phones all together. I usually like regular 3G flip phones and was skiddish about getting a touch-screen phone but this was definatly worth getting. The interface and software on this phone is so great and very useful. I'll list the pros and cons:

Pros:
Screen - Touch screen is very responsive, best touch screen than most; internal screen is very sharp, graphics aren't pixilated or "cartoony".

Keyboard - I'm not used to a QWERTY keyboard so I've got to get used to it but I can sa...

Exchange Question.

I have a question for the individuals who work in the corp. stores? What is the exchange policy? I purchased the Moto w755 on Saturday, but had problems with that phone. Exchanged that for the Omnia. The features and that are great, but I am not quite sure that this is for me. Am I stuck with this phone or can I again pay a restocking fee and exchange the phone? Thanks for all the answers.

I NEED A STRAIGHT ANSWER!

I upgraded to the Voyager in Feb09. I had to switch from the America's Choice calling plan to the Nationwide plan b/c of the data type phone. I only got this phone b/c I liked the option of touch screen and an actual keyboard & the VZW rep praised it. Got the basic plan b/c I dont need all that internet stuff. I AM SOOOOO TIRED of every month, VZW is hitting me up w/ a $2 megabyte usage charge. I have called there several times asking what am I hitting so I can STOP getting these charges. NO one at VZW can tell me. I was told if you hit your media center icon off main menu, it automatically starts charging. Then another agent said that's not true..you have to go to a download to be charged. I DONT DOWNLOAD! then one agent said its b/c i hav...
