When will Verizon Update their Smartphones?
I currently have a Treo 700w with WinMobile 5, which has been good but not good enough for me to stay with Palm products. Freeze ups and resets, unable to sync with my laptop, are just 2 issues I believe are basic and should not be a problem for any phone.
Software and such aside, when will Verizon update their offering?
(note: i am not a blackberry fan)

New Blackberry Storm News!
So its just images of the box. But some new detais have emerged. Mainly, the phone will be known as the storm and not the thunder. Although the thunder name might still be used out of the United States.
Also, the phone will include an 8GB Sd card, which I thought was pretty cool.
Projected release date is still early to mid October, but that is not official and prolly subject to change.

Premium SMS
To me VZW approaches premium sms in a very unethical way, atleast with regards to what we as reps are supposed to do when a customer calls about them. The "official" policy is that you just tell the customer how to unsubscribe and that's that. Of course most reps will gladly (and immediately) offer the premium sms blocks although the policy states otherwise. I can see VZW getting slammed in a courtroom (just like AT&T) by a crafty class action law...

What I didn't try was toggling the VM indicator off, soft reset, toggling on and then soft reset. When I called CS they re-provisioned my VM account with no success. A call back got me to the data support people (they have helpful people there after 6 on a Saturday?!), they suggested the toggle/reset/toggle/reset which had not been previously suggested. It worked.
