This was just to hilarious

I work for Verizon as a sales rep. I was talking to a customer who said they had just received a VIP staus with Verizon and spoke to the VIP customer care. The rep told them that New Mexico was not a part of the US and that they could not help them. 🤣 I said to them that the rep may have thought they meant Mexico, however, the customer said they were very clear that they lived in New Mexico. I didn't know what to say. The customer then said that they were talking to a rep who recognize their US citizenship. I just thought this was hilarious. I would like it noted that I am in no way bashing Verizon. Just thought this was something funny to share with everyone.

Agent or Corporate?

Can someone please tell me the advantages of buying a phone from a corporate store instead of from an agent? Or is it better to buy from an agent?

Thanking everyone in advance.

Boulder thread/features

Just got my G'zOne Boulder in the mail, replacing the LG VX8300 which served me quite well but for the fact it's falling to pieces right as I was up for NE2. (I think they plan it that way, and I don't like that).

This thing seems solid. I wish it had Word instead of T9Word, because I think with the former, which was on the 8300, it was easier to "teach" it new words.

Questions:

1. Does anyone know how to unlock the stock photos, pics and wallpapers it comes with so I can delete them? I have a thing for clearing useless crap off phones when I get them.

2. I read somewhere this thing has a flashlight feature (I assume it uses the camera flash?). Anyone know how to use this?

3. Haven't had much luck with the compass. I had thoug...

Is there a way around the $30/month data package with the Blackberry?

Anyone know? I desperately want the Pearl - but I don't want to pay an extra $30 a month.

I was torn between the Voyager and the Pearl. I think the Voyager is too big and bulky but the Pearl has that stupid additional charge.

I strongly dislike my current phone (LG VX9400) and want a new one SOOOO bad!!

Cell phone industry not making any new fans

People love their cell phones, but hate their cell phone providers. The Better Business Bureau now reports that the cell phone business has received more complaints than any other industry for 3 consecutive years. There are now 22 states with bills in various stages of consideration or adoption all seeking to establish a cell phone users' bill of rights. The response of the cell carriers has been to spend millions to fund lobbyists who are trying to get rules bent in the industry's favor. Why not just fix the bad business model instead? We're not talking about dropped calls here; we're talking about those rotten 2-year contracts. Clark is hard-pressed to find another country in the world that does these contracts.

For the longest time, th...

Anyone know...

when the new 4.5 (otherwise known as 4.3.1) will be released? I updated my blackberry to what is currently known as 4.3.0.97 but it doesn't offer the features described in PC magazine such as...

• Automatic playlist generation in the media player (H)
• Microsoft Office document editing with DocumentsToGo (H)
• Native format attachment downloading (S)
• HTML e-mails (S)
• Over-the-air device upgrades (S)
• Free/busy calendar lookup (S)
• Searching the server for old e-mail messages (S)
H = handheld, S = server

Any info people have would be appreciated.

Out of the frying pan, and...

into the fire. So, I left verizon at the end of my contract and went with AT&T. A few issues along the way, but nothing that wasn't ever rectified. What it came down to was phone selection. Verizon doesn't seem to have many "middle of the road phones." 😕 What I mean is; I don't need the features of a blackberry, but don't want a phone marketed towards text crazy teen girls. AT&T seemed to have more casual grown up phones. Anyway, it's been 2 weeks and I'm back to the 90s in terms of signal quality; dropped calls, poor reception, and missed calls and voicemails. 😡 So, my question is, how do I get back to verizon and keep the numbers I ported out? I think I read somewhere it has to be more than a month to port back in with the same ...

Termination Fee - Verification?

Just wondering something...I am moving to a home that I would be occupying (basically home sitting / free rent for a relative for a year or so) that is not in the VZW coverage area. VZW has told me they need either a copy of mortgage, utility bill etc in MY NAME to waive cancellation fees, problem is they utilities will remain in my relatives name, not mine. They then told me that I could send a letter from that relative stating I am going to be living at that address.

How exactly would they check that? Couldn't someone just write a BS letter and fax it to them?
